On the October 21 special directors cut of OnStyle's 'THE TaeTiSeo'Tiffany talked about becoming a singer despite her family's opposition.

Tiffany states, "opposed [my family]. And so, I came to Korea unprepared. In only three weeks I came to Korea. At that time, I thought to myself, 'If I don't go now, I'll spend my lifeblaming my parents,' and so I said, 'In order to not blame my parents I will go. I will go and I will try. If I can do it, I'll do it, and if I can't, then I will personally fold my dreams.'"

She confesses, "I didn't return back home for two years [afterwards] in case I might want to uselessly quit or I might not want to go back to Korea." She adds with an apologetic look, "I feel sorry that I just came here." Feeling herself tear up, Tiffany fans her eyes a bit before continuing, "Although there were times I wandered a bit, I'm now focused here."

At another point in the episode, Tiffany shared that she auditioned with Christina Aguilera's song. She stated, "I was able to come here by being consoled by this song; the fact that this is a job where I can be that role [that Aguilera was for me] makes me happy and thankful."

In the same episode, Taeyeon and Seohyun also shared why they decided to become singers. Taeyeon's reason was a bit amusing, as she stated, "Ever since my first year in junior high school, I started to act [on my dream]. When I thought about what I should do to be happy, I realized that I was good at nothing else but singing."

Meanwhile Seohyun shared that she became a singer after seeing her sunbaes on TV, saying, "While watching the generation of BoAFin.K.LS.E.S, etc. and their performances, I felt that it was really amazing how they showed their emotions and could communicate through their music.
