to the fans, midae and yina did not appear that close as they didn't interact with each other that much. but behind the scenes, the two were the closet. they knew everything about each other, and were always talking and spending time with each other. not to mention that they had a lot of skinship with each other. in fact, they were so intimate that the other members suspected soemthing, but decided to ignore it out of respect for privacy.

 

after the scandal, midae and yina avoid each other like the plague. and when they do have to meet, mirae is always apologectic and very softspoken and polite to yina, though she often makes sure she has the backup of another member when facing yina. yian, on the other hand, will be her usual ruthless and scathing self, blatantly ignoring mirae and always being sarcastcally polite to her.

THE REASON FOR THIS IS BECAUSE DURING TRAINEE DAYS, YINA WAS STILL HER USUAL BOLD SELF AND WAS OFTEN OFFENDING OTHERS. AND SHE WOULD HAVE LONG BEEN ASKED TO LEAVE THE COMPANY IF IT WASN'T FOR LI-EN, WHO ALWAYS MANAGED TO TALK THE PERSON YINA HAD OFFENDED INTO FORGIVING YINA. WHEN IT WAS FOUND OUT THAT THEY WOULD BE THE NEXT TO DEBUT, LI-EN HAD MADE YINA SWEAR NOT TO DO ANYTHING THAT WOULD GET HERSELF INTO A LOT OF TROUBLE AND THROW AWAY THIS PRECIOUS CHANCE THAT LI-EN HAD DID SO MUCH TO MAKE SURE WOULD BE GIVEN TO YINA. NOW, WHEN YINA HAD GOTTEN HERSELF KICKED OUT, TO LI-EN IT FELT THAT YINA HAD BETRAYED HER TRUST AND FRIENDSHIP BY JUST CARELESSLY GETTING INTO TROUBLE AND FORGETTING THE PROMISE SHE HAD MADE. tHUS, LI-EN CAN'T HELP BUT FEEL BOTH ANGRY AND DISAPPOINTED AT YINA.

 

the controversy 

Her group had just debuted and were well on their way to the top, with a large and loyal fanbase supporting them. at that time, yina already had a reputation for being quite a fearless girl, as she always did whatever she wanted without a care for what anyone else would think. in fact, some of her actions were so brazen, such as when she openly swore, wore inappropriate clothes for certain events or was pictured being inappropriately clingy to others, that many started calling her shameless. but even then, majority of her fans still accepted her presence in the group, as what she did wasn't that extreme.

 

But what caused her ultimate departure from the group happened almost a year after debut, when pictures of yina started circulating. pictures of her kissing a fellow group member. When confronted, yina had bravely admitted that she was biual, and that she didn't care what others thought of her. at this, many fans, especially those in korea, started petitioning for her to be removed from the group. at first, the label didn't take these very seriously, opting instead to ignore whatever yina had said and forcing her to act straight, including making her go on fake dates. 

 

but no one really bought that, especially when midae, the girl yina had kissed, suddenly spoke out that yina had been forcing and blackmailing her to do as she wished. she had done so as she would have rather abandoned yina than let the entire group fall. at that, fansites started shutting down, fans started leaving and the other members started to outcast and shun yina. it was then that the label decided to kick yina out before the damage got too serious and they were unable to build up the group again.

first meeting 

they met when midae brought yina to her house to visit her family. her brother chen was at home at the same time and of course had heard all about yina's famous fearlessness. he had admired her for such a long time, for being so brave to have the freedom to do whatever she wanted, and sought to get closer to her. yina had taken a liking to him, as one would to a puppy, for a while, finding his humour and taste for adventure amusing and entertaining.

before the controversy, chen had always found yina to be extremely admirable and had tried to get closer to her.

after the controversy, while everyone else was disgusted by yina, chen only found himself admiring her bravery more, and spent more time with yina.

 

both on and off stage, the two would be seen close to each other, often getting up to all sorts of nonsense together. they spend a lot of time together, and yina doesn't even try to hide their relationship though chen is a bit more careful. however, chen is not so careful as to not show off yina to everyone, including midae

 

meanwhile, yina actually has a motive for dating chen at first, and that was to make midae jealous. afterall, she wasn't stupid and knew midae still had feelings for her. but she wanted to get back at her and what better way to do so than by dating her brother?
