Error Comeback

This comeback is so amazing that it compelled me to write my first blog post.

Alright, firstly, watch this video, click the image to be directed to Vixx's brand new song.

It's been said that this comeback would be their strongest yet, and after seeing this, I can't think of any way to think otherwise. If anyone knows of any other groups that have even done something remotely similar to this, please let me know in the comments, I'd love to check it out.

Okay, so I searched for a lyric translation online, and after reading what the song actually says, I'm going to summarize what I derived from it and the music video using Hongbin and Youngji, as they are the main stars of the video.

Hongbin does not simply love Youngi; Youngji is his all, his everything, practically his entire being, but the more he fights to get through the struggle that is Youngji's untimely departure (in the video, it seems she dies, but in the lyrics it seems more like he's speaking of a break up or seperation), he finds that he cannot continue fighting to stay strong for her, and he gives in. He doesn't accept her leaving, instead he is afraid of what he'll be without her and pulls her back to him (in the video, this is where he reassembles her as a humanoid robot). Before this, though, Hongbin transforms himself as he attempts to force himself to no longer feel for her, but obvioisly, this does not work as it seems more that he changed himself to be more like her. Probably in hopes that it could keep them together longer.

Hongbin revives Youngji's feelings for him inside of her (when he places the helmet on her head bringing back all of their memories together), and the two are together again. However, the happiness is short-lived as "something went terribly wrong."(This seems fitting to the part where the authorities appear and find out that somehow Youngji is 'illeagal'). Hongbin is reminded of the painful memories, but he still cannot bring himself to depart from her. He can't forget her, so he stops trying to. In the end the two both are pieced apart until all that remains is a mechanical heart with a pulse that slowly dies. Hongbin and Youngjin face the fact that their love can never live on, so they both die with it.

I hate to compare this to Romeo and Juliet, but the ending really makes it seem similar with the whole "forbidden love" thing. Anyway, this video is so complex as well as the song that I can hardly even comprehend what was going on. If any of you have devoloped your own analysis for this video, please let me hear it. I'd love to know more opinions and explainations for this, it's truly outstanding and I couldn't be more proud of VIXX (especially Kongie, he played his role so perfectly).

Alright, now don't even get me started on their appearances!

Exhibit Ravi:

I love his haircut, it gives him a tougher image despite his pretty eyes. Like in Rock Ur Body his eyes were lined so heavily that he looked so pretty or cute, but here he looks to be more manly to me.

Exhibit Hyuk:

He still seems super adorable to me! Even with the badass cyborg face lines, I just wanna pinch his cheeks!

Ugh, magnae, go away! You're too handsome, who allowed you.

Exhibit Ken:

OMO, I tried so hard to find a shot of him where it wasn't derpy or blurry, but this is the best I got >.< Still good-looking, though. I love the part in his hair, the style fits him.

Exhibit Leo:

I can't even. Seriously, as Hakyeon biased as I am (and that's a hell of a lot) I could not take my eyes off this man for anything. He looks like some kind of y-robot-warrior ready to defeat the enemy just with a flip of his gorgeous side bangs. I am undeniably in love with this hair on Taekwoon, and the dark color just tops it all off.

*y stares all the fangirls to death*

Exhibit N:

WHAAATTT??? We finally get a glimpse of N's ever-elusive forehead!

Oooh, it's cropped a bit shorter now~ as usual, his eyes are staring directly through me.

I have no idea what his jacket is trying to do, but me likey.

Exhibit Hongbin:

VIXX should be arrested for massive homicide by eye-contact!

Okay, I think I've spammed you enough XD

One more thing, how can I end this without talking a little about the actual sound of the song? The piano melody and the upbeat tempo somehow seamlessly balance out into a magnificent dance song that delivers a serious (even sad) story, even without the lyrics. That's about as far as my ability to critique music goes XD I'm actually surprised I didn't just say "It sounds pretty."

Okay, ST☆RLIGHTS! I'll leave you on that note for today ^_^ Let's continue to support our VIXX oppas during their Error promotions~~~

Perfect analysis. I got Romeo and Juliette vibes too. But Leo is still you'd unni's and don't you dare forget that. EVER!
