2 Years on AFF!

O C T O B E R 8; 2014

Hi, everyone!

So, just after my (sort of) return to writing and AFF, my 2nd year on AFF has passed! I was going to celebrate by advertising Tangerine Express, but I probably decided that too late, because when I went to bid, I realised that I don't have enough karma points to advertise, or upvotes for it to get featured, so I've just made it my goal for next year.

Anyway, what I decided to do instead was update The Ministry of Growing Up with a chapter that's very special to me. Also, I wanted to drop by and say a quick thank you, even if no one reads these, anyway.

I want to thank everyone who takes time out of their day to read my stories. It makes me really happy just thinking that, so thank you. In my 2 years here, I've written more than 20 stories (although I've deleted some, and some are sorted into drabble collections), and because I've written so much without thinking about it, it feels like much longer than 2 years. And now there are just over 1000 of you! Like what?! I don't know if that's a lot to you, but it's more than I ever expected, so I'm blown away. Thank you.

Is It Me That You Love? was my first fic, and looking back on it makes me cringe, but I'm proud of how I've grown as a writer (and a person) since then. I'd like to say a special thank you to all the people who left lovely comments of encouragement that kept me going in those first days. Lots of love to Aizel, who read every chapter and never failed to make me smile.

For My Brother was my second story, which I only just finished this year. This one was also dear to me because unlike IIMTYL, you can actually see how my writing changes throughout this one story. I think this one was a turning point for me. Special thanks to Fomizza, PearLee and QueenChoding, for being such sweethearts.

Killer Heir was my next story, and is still ongoing. I swear if I have the motivation to write it, I will, because there is seriously only like 2 chapters I have left to write (!!!). A special thank you to hopelesswriter, who I can never forget because she never failed to leave such lovely comments. Also ongoing is Noyade and kick up the leaves, which are works in progress at the moment.

My fic collection, All Things Broken and Beautiful, has been a wonderful little haven for me to retreat to when the full blown fics become too big and intimidating. Thank you to all the lovely readers there <3

And then there is my Luyoon collection, starting with Letters to Yoona (which I started writing in a food court on a whim), She Likes The Rain (still brings back memories), Tangerine Express (my dearest piece, and the one I'm most proud of), and Adrift in Alaska, which is ongoing. I'd like to say thank you to the fawns, especially the fawns LINE clan, who have spazzed with me and are endlessly supportive. Also, a massive thank you to Candy/Laura, who is a huge help, inspiration, and dear friend. She's the whole reason I started shipping Luyoon, and the whole reason I started writing. I owe her a lot.

Also, Sixteen Summers Ago (which made me cry of anger, happiness, frustration and sadness-- and still makes me cry);

The College Boy and the Would-Be President and take the fall; lose it all, both of which were my darkest fics but also, incidentally, the easiest for me to write. Special thanks to all the people who screamed with me at the twists and wtf moments of the stories;

Waiting for a Train [this is(n't) real], the story I wrote as a sixteenth (?) birthday present to Lien, whom I miss dearly. Special thanks to her for always inspiring me, even when she's not around;

sunshine washes from your memory, my second favourite thing I've written, after Tangerine Express. Also the only fic I've let my school friends read (there may have been a few tears).

As always, thank you to the Byuntaehood, who are all losers but I love y'all <3

I think that's it! In summary, thank you everyone! I hope I get to celebrate my 3rd anniversary here :)

Much love,

--Elle xxx
