Only debuting just a month apart, SM's new girl groups, P!NK FR!DAY and Red Velvet cause quite a stir in the kpop world. With P!NK FR!DAY debuting with new hit song, "I Got a Boy" sporting their powerful vocals, Red Velvet display their colorful visuals in "Happiness."

Many are questioning SME's true reason for debuting two different yet similar girl groups within the same time frame, seeming almost rushed instead of powerful debuts that are usually presented from such a successful company. Quite a few netizens believe that it's only the infamous Lee Youngmin trying to gain more money in his industry, pumping out more and more groups just to fill up the empty space from the other missing members of the original lineup of SNSD(minus Jessica) or f(x) (minus Sulli).

But through all of the queries and apprehension, the main problem begins. Is there already a strong rivalry between these two talented girl groups? And within their own company? According to the public, many fans contrast the different groups from varied views, some claiming for PF for having a strong debut song that had gathered the attention of international fans and grown a strong fandom while Red Velvet has only touched within their homeground.

Continuing to draw the line between the diverging rookies, PF has given gained the status of super-rookies with their expectional talent, vocals, and visuals combined. Whereas Red Velvet only has their dyed hair, visuals, and the back-up from their company. As the two groups continue to compete for the spotlight, only their fandom can decide the true winner for the crown. Did SM do this on purpose in order to gain more money and profit, thus their name being $ME. Or is this just another explosion of real, raw talent from this infamous entertainment?

Keep an eye out for the everlasting, talented P!NK FRDAY, who has now brought out attention to their distinct similarities to their popular labelmate SNSD. Recently, their first mini album had just surpassed 600,000 albums sold, placing their name as a super-rookie and the renowned SNSD, sometimes even considered as the sister counterpart for EXO. Red Velvet however hasn't gained much with their happy song, only known as the renowned f(x), but hopefully our colorful girls will be able to gain that title soon.

Stay tuned for more information about this blossoming girl groups, we're sure that this year will be a colorful one!
