Lexi Answers: Keeper's 17 Questions for Writers :)

It's been a while since I wrote something here in my AFF blog space and I found Dreamkeeper's interesting questions... So here it goes :D

1. Do you write stories (or parts of it) everyday? Day or night?

   - I often write stories during the night, when it's quiet and just when I'm about to sleep so sometimes I don't get enough much sleep. But some other times like during the day, I would come up with something, I'll just note it on my phone and get back to it at night :D

2. Do you have any writing rituals? If yes, what are they?

   - I just want a quiet place, but more often than not, I play some music while writting :)

3. Where do you write: MS Word, Notepad app, notebook, AFF text editor, Google doc, etc.?

   - I write with Pages or Notepad app :)

4. Do you start a fic with an outline? If the answer is no, proceed to #6

   - Yes, having an outline became helpful to me so that I won't lose track with my story :)

5. Is your outline fixed or a work in progress?

   - More of in progress, I edit out or put some more ideas sometimes :)

6. How do you know if a chapter is done?

   - Usually I write cliff hangers every end of the chapter :)

7. When do you update?

   - Whenever I can. But whenever I have an on-going story, I try my best to update and post at least two chapters during weekends :)

8. Do you usually write short chapters (<1500) or long ones (>2500)?

   - Somewhere in the middle, I feel bummed whenever I post short chapters :)

9. Is it a must for your story to have a poster?

   - For me it's important, it's like a packaging of a product. But you know what they say, don't judge a book by it's cover ;)

10. What do you usually write in your foreword?

   - I at forewords... it's more on blah blah blah...brain fart I guess hihi :D

11. What font do you use? Font size?

   - Helvetica, Lucida or Verdana and being the four eyed monster that I am, I use 14 font size :D

12. Do you write stories about your bias?

    - Yes, yes and yes... For me, it's a lot more inspiring, as if you were the heroine or muse of your bias ;)

13. Which of your fictional characters can you relate to the most? Why?

    - The OC on my Why I Like You story :) Because the heroine is a photographer and an artist and that's my work, I wrote most of my traits and characteristics in there. I truly discribed myself in there, I posted outfits in there and that's how I usually dress myself. And last but not the least, Choi Siwon is my number1 Super Junior Bias!!! hahaha :D

14. Have you requested reviews for your stories?

   - Yes, I'm open about it. I want to know what my flaws are in terms of writing :)

15. What are your weaknesses when it comes to writing?

   - I guess this is every author's problem once in a while, the "Author's Block"... which I truly hate, and I just don't like seeing myself staring at my laptop with a blank page. I just want to keyboard smash but I can't because laptops are just too expensive and I couldn't get a new one in a new one in just a flash.

16. Why do you write fanfics?

    - Wow... I actually don't know... But I thought that maybe, just maybe, that's how I truly feel with my bias. I guess it is an expression of how I truly feel. Omigosh is this also an obsession?! hahaha but no, kidding aside, I guess you just love a group and you want to be a part of their lives, I guess this is the only way. :)

17. Any advice/tips about writing?

   - This is going to be a lame advice but it's a helpful reminder. Do not Procrastinate! -I'm actually telling that to myself too- But seriously, take notes, I always have a ready notebook and pen in my bag or I always have my phone ready, so that whenever inspiration, ideas, words or sentnces come, you're always ready to remind yoursef with whatever. Stay inpired and I learned in one of the retreats that attended that "You should do what you love and love what you do" ;)

Thanks for these questions keeper! ;)

Thanks for this.
#10 Seems that most who answered this questionnaire (that's I'm aware of) has difficulty with forewords... hmmm... (it's something to think about)
#17 The last line is similar to my AFF status: "love the life you live, live the life you love" and I agree with it wholeheartedly. Life is short so do things that gives us happiness :D
