Test results
Hello Loves,
So yesterday I went in for another round of tests. Blood tests, 2 MRI's, a CT scan, and a surprise ultrasound. My phlebotomist sat with me the whole time and was super awesome. She even tried the motorcycle dance to make me laugh. It wasn't as horrible as I anticipated, but the ultrasound, which is normally painless, had me in tears.
Verdict is that things have gotten better and worse. There is little to no risk of blood clots causing a or heart attack, so that is the good news. It means that I can safely get a transfusion this next week if I need to.
The bad news is that the antibiotics are not working and the infection is spreading. There is also a possibility of cancerous growth on one of my kidneys. I am on fairly heavy painkillers and have been given different and stronger drugs to combat the infection. My expiration date has been moved up as well, so that is depressing. Doc says that if they cannot find a solution to the infection, I have realistically 8-12 weeks left. Next step is a consultation with an oncologist and more tests next week to see if these drugs are a better fit.
More than anything else, I want to thank you all for all the love and support, the prayers and good thoughts. This is hard to come to terms with again, but I really do feel all the love and support sent my way. I am so thankful to each of you for being a part of my life's journey. I promise that I will fight to the end, and hopefully I will heal and get better and continue to flail about with happiness at many more comebacks and concerts and such. So until then, thank you will all my heart! <3
