appearance — serine has the natural light korean skin tone and her eyes are a bit smaller than the ulzzang. just like the ulzzang, her hair is ALWAYS with bangs and arguable said as "serine's trademark". she has a small scar on the palmof her hand from her childhood. her hair color is usually a variety of brown and a bit of red but nothing too flashy like blonde. her hair length ends halfway down her back and even though the ulzzang's hair is curly, serine's hair is not. her hair would be more wavy and sometimes straight based on what the stylist wants.

trainee experience — serine faced a whole different lifestyle after walking out of her parent's roof. she was faced with financial problem at the age of 15.  not only was she faced with financial problems she had to live with the wrath of her not-so-nice aunt's house and adapt to the city lifestyle. she worked part time jobs while taking vocal lessons and dance lessons. after a year in seoul, she went around to audition and much to her luck she got in on her first audition at CUBE Entertainment. she wasn't the type that stood out a lot nor failed the monthly evaluation every time. serine was average and passed every monthly evaluation decently which gave her an advantage in getting into CUBE's upcoming girl group (HESTIA). prior to her debut, she was able to feature in some songs by CUBE singers thanks to her vocals and was able to get a few offers to sing OSTs.

Serine is independent and does not like to take orders from others and enjoy getting their way. She can get childish or moody when given orders that she does not like and have temper tantrums should she not get her way. Serine easily takes offense to comments made and is very self-conscious. Others can easily resent Serine due to her self-involved and (sometimes) self-centered personality where she does not pay attention to others feelings. Serine can strongly project her personality onto others giving them strong impressions and can be very self-oriented. She tends to venture out into the world and leave impressions on others that they are exciting, vibrant and talkative. Though at first, they would need to go through her cold, self-centered front. To people that she does not find in need of befriending, Serine is cold, self-centered and y which most often leaves a bad impression. background — serine was born in yeosu city of south korea, brought into life by two professors who fell in love at their job. she grew up with her younger brother and with hopes from her parents of becoming a great educator. weekdays and weekends were spent studying, until she started middle school. thanks to her "wrong influence" friends, serine became greatly inspired to become an idol. she snuck out of class and spent time afterschool for vocal lessons and dance lessons which lead to her parents finding out her mischeif. her parents were greatly disappointed with it and banned her from going out but due to her parents' dismay it turned her into an immature little rebel, fighting for her "freedom". her parents had to let her go to seoul to "chase" her dream after endless days of sulking, arguements and silent treatments.

chen and serine met at a vocal class right after serine got to seoul. chen's first impression of serine was that she was a total country bum even though he himself is one too. but the thing was that they had to meet every day due to the vocal lessons being every single day, a few weeks of talking with her thick yeosu accent and cute yet annoying charms, chen's first impression was changed.
 

relationship — chen and serine became good friends, both just coming from the country, they ended up sticking with each other. this lead to a nice stable friendship with constant teasing. it wasn't until after a few months of chen sending her back to her aunt's house did they develop this skinship-y relationship. chen and serine became really touchy and flirty with each other yet not having too much feelings for each other. it could be labeled as "flirtationship", in serine's honest opinion. how flirty were they? chen and serine would give light goodbye kisses, holding hands, giving each other lame pickup lines, curling into each other's legs and falling asleep on each other's shoulders. but the thing about their relationship was that they would pretend like they don't know each other but then would be playing around under the table. after serine passed her audition to CUBE entertainment, they lost contact due to serine not having a cellphone and they never ended up together, And not until then did they realize their feelings for each other. even though serine went into training first, chen debuted earlier than she did and of course she immediately recognized him once his teaser came out but had no guts to confront him.
