Tragedy should lead to Reform

In a long message on Twitter, Bumkey left a somber message in response to Ladies’ Code RiSe death.

Starting with a heartbreaking message to RiSe, where he describes her as a bright, and friendly person, he ends the note with a message on how to respect their deaths and mourn them right.

Bumkey’s message reads as follows:

I guess this year’s Chuseok can’t be just a happy one. Although I haven’t seen RiSe often, she was such a bright, friendly person and someone who gave her all. Another farewell.. I praay that you end up in a good place. I know for a fact you did. Rest in peace RiSe.

With this tragic accident, not just to me but to everyone including everyone in the industry and citizens of Korea, our young friends have put us to our senses. We need to make changes. I know this hurts but if you look from another perspective, I thank them. Rest somewhere peaceful.

What we all need to learn is not even in textbooks, but in the sufferings of others in order to better ourselves as people and to live for the ones that we love. I believe that this will be the right way of mourning over their innocent passing.

My intentions of when I was thanking them was that we should learn something from this tragedy and their passings. What do you think those young friends would have wanted to tell us before they left? I’m going to act like I have heard what they would have said. I was just coming from a stance that we should all change our attitudes for the better.

If there was any misunderstanding regarding what I have said, I sincerely apologize. It just hurts so much..

I hope South Korea makes the right decision.

RIP RiSe, RIP EunB, Ladies' Code Fighting.

Oh, I like what he said. Now I wonder what my grandpa could have said before he passed away and it kinda puts things into perspective. He was at the corner street waiting when a driver hit him, dragged his body until the next corner. I couldn't fathom how the driver failed to see my grandpa or why he had to occupy the sidewalk. Our family forgave him because my grandpa would have done that. And at the time, I don't think anyone had the strength to go to court hearings and drag the whole thing long after the burial. But Bumkey is right that we should take something from this tragedy, learn from it and make something out of it.

This is not the first car accident involving kpop celebrities and yet it continues to happen. Of course, we can't predict or stop an accident from happening. But we can lower the chances. Perhaps the company should provide a professional driver, not a road manager. Because road manager also gets tired after the activities. Or how about schedules? So little time, so many places to go. How about a different speed limit when it rains? Just kidding. Everyone should drive slowly and carefully when the road is slippery. Think of other cars in the road that may get damaged for their recklessness.

I completely and honestly agree with him. I see no ill intentions in what he said and people who are against him are clearly in denial. Korea has to reform their laws, the passing of these two beautiful angels are merely a couple of the dozens that pass because of their ineffective laws... Rest in peace, RiSe, rest in peace EunB. I hope you two keep each other company in the land in the skies.
