Soomin is one of the easiest members to read in my opinion, so you probably won't get any startling revelations or shocking news about her, because in a lot of ways, "what you see is what you get"  with her ! She's simple. To Soomin, the world is very black and white. For her, there's good and there's bad, and if you fall under her good side she will treat you with her incredibly inpiring goodness, but at the same time it should be also said that Soomin - while seeing the world at black and white colors -  is not opposed to shades of gray and part of the reason she has grown so close to the other girls is that they have taught her about those sort of  'gray areas'. She is always looking for ways to compromise, to meet in the middle. I get the sense that she is one of those people who see the positive side in everyone and you would never hear her bad mouthing friends or anything of that sorts. It's very refreshing to know that when she is being nice it 's not because she has to be, it's because she is legitimately the sweet and caring person that we see on a daily basis. One of the most interesting things about Soomin is her friends choice. If we look at her two bestfriends, Jackson and Mirae, we can see they are often egocentric and ually suggestive. It's not infrquent that people talk about how Soomin is so naive and she misses all the ual innuendos or whatnot. Well, I beg to differ. I'm certain she knows exactly what is going on, she just doesn't choose to acknowledge it. They are different indeed, but their friendship work pretty well because they can balance each other out. 

You might be thinking: why do I even need to know her friends personality? Well, I think it's important to mention her friends when you talk about Soomin, because the people you surround yourself with, says a lot about you. 
Out of all the members, she is the most concerned about the influence they have on fans. She makes the most effort to be a good role model for the fans and gets concerned about their schooling and if they are staying up really late. She genuinely worries if she thinks that fans are affected because of her. She often reiterates that she wants her fans to be safe, and while she is not the only one doing this, she's often the one doing it the most frequent.
On the negative side, she also seems to be the one who stresses the most over making sure everything is okay and that everyone is doing their job right. She acts like a mother, always making sure that her little babies are doing fine, healthy and happy. Also if you know Soomin well enough, you know you can't talk about her without mentioning Jungkook, as even herself has said that "he makes her, her". There's a maturity in their relationship that is admirable. They don't really have a lot of moments in public, they rarely talk about each other in interviews, but everyone can see how close they are, how differently they look at each other, how important they are to one another.

Soomin is very protective, specially towards anyone who seems in need of protection. We see this in how she deals with little fans, but also in the way she deals with her group, specially with the maknae, there's this innocence about her, she seems always so vulnerable, so you can often see Soomin with her arms around Jieun's shoulder. However, Soomin can be very possessive of those she loves the most, refusing to accept that anyone but herself knows what is best for her friends. Believe me when I say that she is indeed very calm and collected but once you start to make pressure on a certain bunch of nerves, she will be the worst you have ever seen and she is not afraid to get into a physical fight if it means that she can protect her pride and family and friends. But in most cases, she wouldn't say anything, she would hold all the emotions inside until it completely blew over. 
Soomin is not particularly intelligent, but in interviews she is the one that gives the best answers when the other members seem to have blank stares. She is the mother of the group, due her caring and sincere personality, her members see her as a mother figure. She carries all the problems on her shoulders, even if the weight is heavy enough to put her down.

Jo Soomin was born in Seoul, South Korea, into a typical Korean family. Her parents both had successful jobs so money never was a problem for them. Growing up, Soomin had a fairly normal childhood. She has a older brother, that is a doctor and a younger brother, currently in High School and a trainee under JYP. 
Soomin reportedly learned guitar in the fifth grade. In her last year of junior high, Soomin learned both classic guitar and how to play the piano. She is currently on her last high school year under Seoul of Performing Arts.
Soomin was signed to Woolim Entertainment when she was just 11 years old, after doing a rap, singing and dance battle on the streets. She was enrolled in dance and acting classes, including modelling classes as well. She took her first big step in the national korean television with her role on the drama 'I Hear your Voice' as the young version of Hyesung, the main character. Later, with Suho from EXO, she gave her voice to the animated movie 'Saving Santa'. In 2014, Soomin, debuted with Xurious and appeared in K.WILL's MV 'Day One'.

Being so young under the spotlights and jealous eyes of other trainees, Soomin had a hard time at first. She was too young in that time and needed to work as hard as people that were 5/6 years older than her. She grew up way too fast, spending most of her days stuck in a dance practice room. She didn't thought it was bad though, it was her choice after all, she was doing something that she enjoyed, she needed to do sacrifices to become the best. Soomin thought about giving up countless times, when she was all alone at the dorm and in those moments she wished she could have her family with her, when her legs were shaking and was hurting, when her tears were falling and she still needed to face the mirror with a smile and dance along the beat. She did have good times, she met amazing people and was able to debut after 7 years of training.

You know how vanilla ice cream is sweet and simple yet popular enough that everyone likes it ? That's how you can describe Jungkook. He likes to keep to himself and when people try talking to him he occasionally will shy away from them because he had built a shell around himself, although he has a shy personality he does have the occasional times where de 'd have the soft burst of confidence and he'll go up to someone and introduce himself to get to know them and make friends.
His social skills aren't the best and occasionally he might just seem so meek, a bit off putting and annoying which he doesn't try to be, he just has this fear of someone trying to hurt him that he's scared of the most. When he is on stage, his personality changes drastically, he becomes y, not afraid to follow the music. Jungkook is also very funny, sometimes maybe too much, he likes to make lame jokes. People will eventually laugh even if the jokes are not funny at all.

Do you know those lame love stories, when the boy and the girl just kind of look at each other and everything else becomes secundary, moving in slow motion ? It might seem a scene taken from a movie, but it was exactly like this that Jungkook and Soomin fell for each other. And when I say 'fell', I mean, falling hard, deep in love with each other. Jungkook and Soomin met each other through mutual friends. Soomin is the epitome of perfection in Jungkook's eyes and when he first laid his eyes on her, he knew it was kind of love at first sight. The way the wind played against her hair, the way she smiled shyly when someone compliments her, he definitely started to pay attention to the small details. All of this might sound too cliche, but Jungkook is the man of her life, she is crazy about him while he definitely is completely in love with her. However, they can't just voice their feelings as if it was nothing, they both have a image to keep, in the moment they become KPOP Idols, they almost lose their private life, so when they are together in public, they don't speak much nor have any physical contact, but people can see how much they care about each other, because of the way he looks at her, how how she blushes when she notices his breathtaking smile.
