APPEARANCE » Si Yeon has fairly soft features, while her eyes remain cat like. It's what usually draws attention. Somebody who doesn't really express emotions in her face, her resting face may seem bored or even aggitated, even though she isn't. It's often one of her most critized points. She does fall on the more petite side, standing only at 163.8 cm and weighting only weighing in at 49.9kgs. (5'4.5 and 110lbs) 

Though, when she is comfortable, she will show a bit more expression. Her smiles are something that could melt stone. It almost makes you forget that she has that colder image. 

STYLE » Si Yeon has a very chic style. Often compared to the likes of Jessica Jung and Son Ga In. The darker chic look. She doesn't often wear many colors outside of her usual black, white, and . And if she does, theyre usually darker colors. Especially fond of large sweaters and skinny jeans, with simple shoes. Often, you'll see her with a mask on. (Her favorite ones are usually the darker ones, occasionally they will sport basic designs.) She likes clothing and dressing up, especially when she gets to do it to other people.

PERSONALITY » When you ask others about their first impression of Siyeon, the first word that usually pops into their heads would be cool. She is very calm and collected, she holds her reactions well. It almost seems as if nothing really bothers her. While that is true for the most part, she just doesn't voice her discomforts as often as a lot of others. She had been raised to not show it. It would be viewed as a weekness. That's how people often misinterperet her as cold and y.

Quiet would often be the next word to follow. Si Yeon is soft spoken, and introverted. She isn't too fond of large crowds. She can only handle being around them for so long before she is drained. She prefers solitude and quiet.

When you ask about her after they get to know her, usually they'll say the same things, cool and quiet. On top of that, there would also be intellegent, passionate, cute, funny, quick, down to earth, cunning, and various others depending on who you ask.

Siyeon has always been fairly smart, she picks up on things quickly. Especially tunes, languages and dances. She mimics very well.

When she finds something she wants to do, or enjoys, she can be very pasisonate about that. That also includes opinions. She is a formidible opponite when it comes to debates. She knows her facts on her stances. A fault of hers would be pride. She is compentitve and hates to lose. She rarely ever will admit to being wrong and hates to appologize.

As somebody who dislikes being cute, she has some charm to her. While on stage, she appears charismatic, behind the scenes she can be very cute. Its one thing she dislikes, is acting cute. A lot of people find this funny. She loves word play. Its where majority of her wit comes from.

Siyeon is quick in many things. Nmely reflexes and temper. While others have a very hot and temporary anger, Siyeon holds grudges and has a very cold anger. Her voice turns icey and is very calm. While she can't hurt anybody physically, she can hurt them verbally. Rarely ever does she go through on her threats. She is easily irritated and doesn't put up with people whining. She will shut people down when she is short. She takes challenges seriously. "Ten bucks says you can't do it," Her usual reply would be "Wanna Bet." She goes out and does her best to prove them wrong, and get ten bucks in the process. Or embaressed. She is easily embaressed, especially if she is around somebody who does something stpid and she is associated with them. Usually becoming exasperated.
She is pretty humble, though she is proud. She is cunning, clever. She picks up on things like moods and can almost always detect when something is up.

She is one of the member who will speak in foregin langugages, she picks up on them easily and speaks them well.

She Idolizes Beyonce, Sohyang, and Alica Keys, often citing them as her inspiration.

For kpop, BoA and Kangta would be the reasons why she wanted to pursue kpop.

She has lived in Japan(1 year), The US (6 years), Taiwan(8 years), and Korea (7 years), and has visted many other countries as well. Western Europe, Singapore, Canada, Mainland China, and Thailand are just a few.

She refuses to participate in Weekly Idol. She has never attended a recording of the show. She doesn't like how they handle business. It is very shady, and she finds them creepy. If the show had different MC's she would be fine. It is just those two she has an issue with. The company has tried to get her to go, but she refuses, and has gotten in trouble with both the CEO and her manager, but she won't budge. To avoid a conflict, they schedule her around it. Not many people are aware of her dislike of the show, they just find it weird that she is never seen with the group on shows with Defcon and Hyung Don as MCs.

BACKGROUND » Sieyon was born on December 3rd, 1990, The eldest daughter to Kim Young Sik and Kim Eun Sook. With Siyeon's father working in the ministry of foreign affairs and trade, there was a lot expected from her. She was raised to be perfect, there was no other options, because the cameras are always watching. In 1994, when her brother was born, she was jealous at first, she had her parents attention to herself and now she has to share. But she quickly came to realize that it was easier to live with a little brother, the attention would be on him for a while. In 1995, one year after their second daughter, Kim Shiwoo was born, they moved to the united states, more specifically Alexandria, ia. Siyeon attended a privet school while she lived in the states, she was after all a daughter of a politician. At the time, only her father and Siyeon were able to speak english, so it was Siyeon's job to translate when her mom took them out without her father. Mi Kyung was too young at the time. In 2001, They moved again, all the way to Taiwan. Both the korean government and her parents didn't feel it would be safe to stay in the US at the time. She was enrolled into another privet school, this time and international one. She didn't know any mandarin at the time and her parents wanted to keep her english skills at a good level, With english being one of the most spoken languages, it would let her have a good job. She loved living in taiwan, making many friends. Late 2004 was when she and her family moved again, this time to Tokyo. Siyeon She hated it in Tokyo, and lucky for her, a year later, she moved back to taiwan. In 2006, she went with her friends to a cocert with Kangta and Vanness Wu, and fell in love with the way they performed. She had always enjoyed music, especially singing. But after that performance, she wanted to have a career in it, and nothing was going to stop her. In 2010, Her father retired from his position and they moved back to Korea. That was also when she told her parents she wanted to pursue music as a career. It took half the year to have her father give his permission. He wanted her to continue in his footsteps, be a politician as well. But being constantly persisted about it nonstop. He gave her a year to audition and get accepted if and only if she continues her education. She attended any and every audition she could at the time without missing school. She auditioned for the first season of Kpop Star, and actually made it into the competition. After being eliminated she was offered a chance to train with SM, who was she to turn it down. She began training in 2012.

 

FAMILY » Si Yeon's family consists of three other people and two dogs. Her father, Kim Young Sik, who was a politician. Her mother, Kim Eun Sook, who stayed at home with the childeren. And her younger brother, Kim Shi Woo, who is currently in yongsei university studying medicine. She has her own personal dog, Calypso (A black pug who is nine years old) and the family dog, milo (A Cavalier King Charles Spanial, only about 4 years old.) Because of her training schedual, her pug lives with her parents, while she visits and takes care of her when she can.

 

FRIENDS/RIVALS » Si Yeon doesn't have many friends, her closest friend would be Choi Sooyoung of SNSD. After that, Heechul(Suju), Hongki (Ft Island), and Jia (Miss A) would follow. Of course, those are just her famous friends. She still keeps in touch with some of her childhood friends, more like two. Feng Mei Lin and Chen Bi Yu are her closest friends. They live in taiwan, but she still talks to them often. It was actually Mei Lin who took her to the concert. Bi Yu was suppose to go with them as well, but she was flying to mainland china with her parents at the time, so they took Shiwoo instead. 

Si Yeon doesn't have time nor the desire to really care about rivalries. She finds them petty. That still doesn't stop the media from comparing her to some of the top singers in the industry. She can easily place herself in the top 10 of vocalists, above even Taeyeon. She has the better technique. That's what she hates the most. Though she doesn't care for Taeyeon one bit, she especially hates being compared to her. She knows she surpasess Taeyeon in vocal ability.

PERSONALITY » Like Siyeon, Jaejoong has a colder image, and can be cold. He is somebody who finds first impressions important. He is blunt and honest, lacking a fliter, saying what comes to mind. He has a very 4D personality. Doing weird and strange things for no reason. He gets jealous easily, but will act very cold when put in the situation. Once you get to know him and he's comfortable around you, he talks a lot. He is easy to get along with, and can be quite friendly despite his colder looks. He is secretive, not one who likes to share secrets, but he is a good secret keeper. He is very straight forward with people, and is very stubborn. Not somebody who changes his mind easily. 

 

LOVE STORY » Anybody would agree that Heechul and Siyeon are good friends, but definitely not as good as Heechul and Jaejoong. That's really how they first met. Heechul was constantly nagging at Jaejoong to get married quickly, constantly trying to set him up with girls. It was after her debut that she and Heechul were in a picture together on his instagram, when Jaejoong texted him and asked some questions about her. Heechul got the idea, and introduced the two. Siyeon knew who he was, Who in the music scene doesn't know Jaejoong? With Heechul 'chaperoning' they started off as friends. It was a couple meetings like that before they exchanged numbers, and started talking more. Jaejoong is definitely somebody who believes in first impressions, she didn't talk much at first, Jaejoong did a lot of the talking, but she did ask him questions and answered him. She was polite, a puzzle. Siyeon found Jaejoong entertaining, she liked listening to him. He had a soothing voice. Siyeon is wary about Jaejoong. Heechul is a big brother to her, somebody she trusts, but she's only just getting to know him. The fact that he is going to enter the military some time soon makes her wary. She finds him attractive, and she likes his personality. But she doesn't want to jump into something. She is careful around him, only after constant reminders from both him and heechul that she doesn't have to be formal around him. She still forgets sometimes, calling him Jaejoong-ssi instead of Jaejoong oppa. Jaejoong has similar feelings, he doesn't want to move to fast, especially since he has to enlist. He's considerate of her, though he has some on and off days. Theyre just casual friend, rarely ever will she go out and met him by herself, until she starts to know him better. With the encouragement of heechul on both sides, Siyeon warms up more to jaejoong.  She's careful about her image, and his. She knows the stories of the saessangs, she's asked him about it. after warming up to him and getting to know him more, she's slightly careless when it comes to skinship. She turns more into a puppy, the longer she is around him, and espeically when she is with heechul as well. She doesn't watch many dramas, but will watch the ones with him in it, and text him about it. Going from somebody who was quiet at first, to somebody who would talk more, and even start conversations with him was dramatic improvment. She will take pictures of him, but wont post it unless she's with heechul, just as a percaution. Jaejoong is protective about her, especially around fans. He's careful about it, he doesn't want to scare her off. Whenever the subject about the saessangs are brought up, he asks her to change the subject. He takes precautions, especially when they go out, or are even texting. That's part of the reason he agreed to the code idea. Not to mention the fact that she has to be careful due to the company. Everyone knows about the dislike between JYJ and SM Entertainment. She keeps things secret so she can still see him. They both know as soon as the company knows or that the public finds out, that it will become harder. (I don't even know, I kind of rambled here. I hope you understand.)
