My list 2: Kdrama OST's (female solos)

I like ma dramas (no not really) and kdramas usually are exceptional shows I enjoy watching despite their cliches, love triangles and typical kiss scenes.

For this list I am using a few categories and the first is female solos. Whether the singer is in a group or is singing just for the soundtrack I have a list of 8 songs that I have found wow'd me to listen to again and again even if I never watched the drama.

10. You're my Star by Suzy from Miss A (Dream High 2 OST)

Now before you decide to go and watch Dream High 2 let me suggest one thing to you. Don't. The reasons for it could go into a list as long as my arm but this is about the song. Suzy can sing. She's in a girl group and she has sung solos before. As much as I like this song I find it lacks something that could make it a great solo.

9. Story by Park Shin Hye (Heirs OST)

This song is her character's OST and while she has a lovely voice it doesn't really suit her strong willed defender of justice character we see. What it does show is Cha Eunsung's empathy towards others as she comes to understand them bit by bit.

8. By My Side by Umiso (Vampire Flower OST)

This was the song from the web drama that caught my interest the most. It has a build up with the instrumentals and a nice beat. It's a decent song for a drama that managed to do surprisingly well despite it being a web drama.

7. It's Ok even if it Hurts by Seohyun from SNSD (Kim Sooro OST)

Haven't watched the drama and that hasn't stopped me from listening to her solo. She has a clear voice that is deep without it being super low.

6. Take my hands  by IU (The Greatest Love OST)

Same story as the OST above. IU truly makes the song work for her.

5. Because it's You by One Piece (Faith OST)

I love this drama and the OST except this song would be ranked last in that list I think something about it sounds a little peculiar to me.

4. Tell me Now by G.na (The Thousandth Man OST)

She has done a few OST's in the past and this one happens to be my favourite. I can't say the drama is favourite so only watch if you want to ball your eyes out.

3. Carry on by ALi (Faith the Great Doctor OST)

A great instrumental backdrop with ALi's amazing vocals? Yes please. I've been a fan of her thanks to Immortal Song 2 and this song has been on constant replay for who knows how long.

2. Winter Flower by Ailee (Queen of Ambition OST)

There's a good reason why I will not watch this drama and that is because I know what happens Uknowdies . Despite the plot bringing no interest to me this song I really enjoy. Ailee has a powerful voice which brings the emotion of this song which I think is about a cold love if I remember right.

1. Back in Time by Lyn (Moon Embraces the Sun OST)

This is probably the best OST I ever heard and it really fits the theme of the couple from the drama. The lyrics talk about wanting to return to the past, with Lyn's moving voice, the use of traditional flute in the bridge as well as the build up is enough to always delight my cochleas (haha)

So which songs would be on your list?
