SBS KPOPSTAR Season 4 Seattle Audition Thoughts and Experience

Well to begin, I thought it was a bit unorganized. They couldn't find my application online, and they made me run back and forth from my seat to the registration table, but the girl was really cute about it. And second, the number sets were all weird. Like they would call a group of 5 but the fifth person wouldn't be called to go in, just to stand in line. For example i was B-050 and the cute staff boy called B-045 to B-050 but the girl running for the grouos called B-045 to B-049 so i was left standing there awkwardly. Then later, that same cute boy calls B-051 to B-56, and agsin i was left standing there. So i asked if i was supposed to go with the first group but they all said no and a man in about his fourties was man handling me to see my number and what group i was supposed to go with. But other than those it went okay.

The process:

1.You register. You show them your application, a VALID ID or passport and they hand you a banner and a paper airplane.

2.Go in and find a seat. Mingle! (Well i got there super late but i mingled while everyone was throwing their paper airplanes since my new Canadian friend and I didn't get one.)

3.They start to read you rules and tell you the whole process so they can begin..unless you're cool like Seattle then Sam Kim will perform first ♥.

4.They start a video playlist of recent released songs but most of them are from like YG, SM, and JYP. And they tell you to start practicing so they can film you.

5. They'll start calling people up both As and Bs since there are two rooms. Once your number is called, you stand in line for awhile until everyone is there and then they take you in my like 4s, 5s or 6s.

6.You sit outside the room and wait after someone checks your application. You go into the room by yourself and hand the two judges and the translator your application. They tell you to stand where the footprints are marked and you're not allow to move from the camera shot. They tell to start whenever you finish with your introduction.

7. You get 1 minutes or so to perform. The judges gave me like an extra 35 seconds or so. Then they'll tell you if you passed or not.

8. You leave. You either leave with a 'Fighting' for other contestants or claps.

My Overall Audition and people who passed:

My judges were a man and a women in about their late 40s. They looked like they liked it and i should've stopped but i didn't and they told me i didn't make it. The translator girl kept repeating 'sorry' and i just kept saying 'It's okay!' With a bright smile because i didn't expect much. My judged were really tough. A group had Sam Kim as a judge so more people passed from their group. I walked out and a REALLY REALLY REALLY cute korean staff boy was auditioning too so he asked me how it was and i explained it to him and omg he was C-U-T-E, HOT. And he was incredibly nice and damn it. I didn't get his name. Fuuuk.(excuse moi). But yeah.

Anyways my new Canadian friend Faith Vaughn or something like that made it to the second audition and i knew she would have made it because she did before and she's really amazing at singing and playing the guitar. Her Korean is was better than mine and I'm part Korean. All the staff girls thought her personality was cute. And it was.

Most of the people who got to the second round were amazing singers and korean. But there were A LOT of people who got in.

Tip:

-Learn Korean

-Sing in Korean

-Smile

-Practice like crazy

-Learn to play an instrument (guitar or piano is common for Koreans)

-Be confident and don't compare yourself to others or you'll just set yourself up for failure. (Totally being a hypocrite)

-Be yourself

-Don't Lose Hope.
