Personality: Wan Hyuk is a happy and outgoing type of person. He has a bright and enthuastic outlook on life. He is called naive, foolish, too optimistic by people. That's just who he is. His naiveness only adds to his silly charm. Although he does have erted moments like almost every other guy, he's just messing around. His smile is infectious, and he likes to make people smile. He tries his best to help people even though he may make it worse. His innocence will make you forgive him. He's an over dramatic person who'll probably dramatize things a lot. 

Wan Hyuk has a weird sense of humor. He tends to laugh at the jokes no laughs at, and not laugh at the jokes people laugh at. His jokes are so bad that they're good. His puns will make you groan, and his weird, eccentric self will come out. Nobody really understands him nor does he. He tends to go shopping for no reason and buys the weirdest gifts for s. He can not sense a mood at all. If it's a tense situation, he'll just smile. Even though he may not act like it, he takes music very seriously. He loves music, and his passion for it shows. When he's doing somethings music related, he'll show a different side of himself. He's an admirable person who loves to do his job. Even though he has faced many things, he still a happy and joyful person.

Background: Wan Hyuk comes from a family of doctors and lawyers. His parents were hardly home and were so busy so he was alone most of the time. When he was in middle school, he was a lot different than he is now. He was the quiet person who you hardly noticed. He wore fake glasses, and people didn't see his handsomeness.

It all changed though when he got into high school. He fell in love with a girl. He got two best friends who stuck with him. His friends made him more outgoing and social. He had people who understood him. The girl who he fell in love with, she was a quiet, smart girl whose looks were average. Wan Hyuk saw a smart, kind girl with a big heart though. He confessed one day, and two went out until she had to move to England. He was depressed over that, and he decided to pursue a job in the music business. He moved to South Korea, his parent's home country, and graduated early with high marks. During his university life, he posted covers in English, Korean, and Japanese due to his knowledege of it. He went under the name, SM. ile (pronounced smile), and grew into popularity.

He wanted to audition for a company though. His mother was against the whole thing. Wan Hyuk decided to just do it. His mother protested against it greatly and wanted him to become a doctor like her. His father allowed him to do audition though since he wanted to become a musician himself when he was younger. He never pursued that dream because his father wanted him to become a lawyer, and he obeyed. He wanted Wan Hyuk to have his dream, and Wan Hyuk was joyous.
