Laptop hangs and program crashes

I'm so pissed off right now all i can do is laugh... or I'll start swearing.. which is not good. so i just laugh.

urgh. i was editing a part of one of my stories, and my whole laptop hanged. i freaked out because i was in the midst of writing!

i tried to wait for the laptop to respond. for fifteen minutes and nothing happened. suddenly the screen went black and the whole lapotp restarted.

i was sitting there like a stunned rock.

okay it restarted. it's okay it happened before a long time ago while i just started writing 'Who's My Prince'. OpenOffice always recovers my documents. yeah.

sure enough, the recovery window popped out.

i clicked recover, and yay, the document reappeared.

i scrolled down to the middle of the doc where i was editing to continue from where i left off. the only problem was that...

i couldn't find what i wrote. i scrolled up and down again, but i couldn't find it. then i realized,

ALL THREE PAGES OF THE EXTRA CHAPTER I ADDED IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORY WAS LOST.

gosh......... why.. i spent an hour writing it because today was the last day i allowed myself to touch my fanfics....

i tried to search for the autosaved file manually in my computer. i actually found it, the only problem is, it recovered what i didn't edit today.. which meant that my 3pages of sudden inspiration is lost forever.

trying to rekindle that spark of thought of what i wrote down, but it's not coming out the same way i first wrote it any more.

urgh.

(sorry for the bad grammar and way of phrasing my sentences i'm so pissed right now i cant think straight)

I HATE TECHNICAL ISSUES
UGH
I get what you mean ;A; Man, that must really ................. I totally feel for you >.< That's just terrible. I'm not sure about whatever you use, but there's this setting for Word documents where the file automatically saves every how-many-minutes. That's the setting: you turning it on or off and choosing every how many minutes it saves.
