The Media Play & Noise Marketing for rookie groups in Kpop are getting out of hand...

While some rookie girl groups are stripping to make headlines and get their name out there, A.KOR's Kemy released a diss track targeting 2NE1's Bom to get her group some attention.  She didn't directly name Bom, but there's no mistaking who she's dissing once you read the lyrics, and the way she played with 2NE1's song titles.  She didn't stop there though, she also dissed YG and YG stans.

The sad thing is, no matter how much hate she and her group will get because of this, they've accomplished their goals of getting exposure to people that didn't know they exist before.  On top of that to purposely diss someone from YG, who are known for hip hop, she had managed to draw the crowd that would appreciate her skills in rapping (the girl can rap).  She's going to get tons of hates, but there will be people who would remember her, her skill, and her groups name.

This whole episode makes me wonder about the newer generations of idols.  What happened to the sunbae/hobae system of respect?  What else would the rookies of next year be doing that's more extreme than what some of the rookies of 2014 are doing to get attention?

Lyrics:

Your bloated, swollen face.
You're not satisfied no matter what you put in it.
You're going to become an old person next to an ugly child
You drag your entire body and slap it onto your face
You're at the point of addiction, "STOP IT!"
X? O? The answer is X, toxic.
Someone call the doctor, someone stop her.
You're about the same as the Gangnam Beauty [who got plastic surgery 28 times]
You're weak, and you fell into drugs.
Did the drugs fall into the jelly box?
Who glanced over the 4 pills that disappeared?
Since when were the prosecutors so nice?
The Samsung employee had 29 pills, and was detained at the detention center
You had 82 pills, and why are you innocent? They're super cool.
The ambassador of the Ministry of Justice? You had a very fitting role, huh?
You took the title of the first smuggling-dol, huh? Amphetamine sh*t.
The articles were taken down so well. YG is no joke.
Try to cover up the sky with your palm. You just got your case suspended??
It must be nice for your fans to cover you up.
I'm jealous that your CEO writes a novel for you.
You set fire on your Roommate friends, and they must feel chaotic, because the corn exploded
You'll hide behind your influential label and then come back when it gets quiet
Radio Star or Healing Camp, or anywhere. There won't be a blow to you, huh?
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can't nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let's go party
YG, mental breakdown, your fans, mental breakdown.
How do you have time to go to Japan? Hurry and come back, come back home
No one else can be a smuggling-dol without you, can't nobody.
Listen to this and clap your hands, let's go party NOW

I'm honestly not a Blackjack but have grown a bit fond of Bom after listening to some songs of theirs so I do think what Kemy did was very disrespectful considering she's only a junior compared to Bom.

BUT at the same time, some of the BJ's calling this girl out by saying 'You should just die' or 'I'mma kill this ' NO. They aren't being any better than what she said about Bom, she's still a young teenager after all so she does have a lot of growing up to do. Maybe in the future she'll regret saying what she said since that's usually the case. And then I recently found out 2ne1's coordinator kinda went after her a bit.

What she did was a very bratty move, but, instead of attacking her why don't we just not give her the attention? Just ignore her and blow her off. Sometimes when you fight fire with fire you just create a bigger fire.

I can totally see why Blacjacks and Bomshells are defending Bom that's great she has so much support. But if only they can show their support in a good and decent manner without the death threats or cuss words.

That's just how I feel though then again ^^; Not telling anyone to think other wise. I hope this issue blows over soon for both Bom's and Kemy's sakes.

tbh authornim, i kinda understand her about the drug thing and how Bom easily got away with it from the law of their nation but talking about PS, YG, and calling Bom's future kids ugly is just sooo beyond the belt. I feel bad for her and her group, maybe because their company made her do it. (or i dunno). i just hope no more death threats and all :/

I'm about as pissed and disgusted as everyone here in the comments are because that really is a low move on the part of being a rookie, a Korean, and a underclassman. She's just probably bitter about the popularity of 2NE1 despite the fact they worked hard and have been in the industry for a long time.

Wow, she just sounds like a bully. Media Play or not she just committed career suicide by stooping so low to go after such an influential group and company. Plus, Bom isn't a rapper and she can't do anything for herself, which just makes the move look even more pathetic. She should've gone after someone who had a better chance of standing up for themselves, but she only looks like a coward. i hope netizens aren't stupid enough to condone her attitude when they're always advocating against "bullying" and what not. But then again, I would probably be expecting too much since they seem to contradict themselves all the time.

I don't really know much about this kemy but seriously this rap makes her immature for putting herself into something she should have not done. tsk

Wow... You know, when it happens in the States - it's all part of the game. But it's definitely not part of the Korean culture to call out your sunbaes like this. I can see backlash all over the place and no doubt - I think she just killed her group. I'm embarrassed for them.

I don't care about her skill. The girl has no class. Other female rappers have made to the top and made their mark without having to result to such low measures. Especially when she's putting her nose in something that doesn't involve her. She wants to be seen as a bad , but she'll just be known as a . And a disrespectful one at that. I'm honestly not liking the direction Kpop is going. I'm all about self expression and all that, but there are limits. One thing people respected about Eminem, was that he was never one to start beef, he was the one to finish it because looking for trouble is just pathetic. And I feel like she had some personal vendetta against YG. She probably went to audition and they probably rejected her because they saw that she doesn't play well with others or something. Because after seeing this blow up she seems like the type who doesn't care if she's knows at the expense for someone else.
