[— leader-nim, leader-nim!] if you ever encounter hyorim in your life, i'm ninety nine percent sure you're going to either kiss or slap her. no, she doesn't have a split personality. let's just say she's not the typical annoying girl you'd find dancing her way in wacky clubs, or a shy yet hyperactive teen dream. when you're meeting her for the first time, she'll lower her voice even though her voice is undeniably a nightmare (not the good ones, if you ask me) and a flat expression is always plastered on her face, she doesn't show much in her first meetings. once you've known her for quite awhile, you realize "hey, this girl ain't half bad." because you haven't seen her comedic mode. hyorim, don't even get me started, uses unnecessary jokes way too often. it can either lighten or darken the mood, but it'll mostly darken the mood... maybe? i swear she could be one of those unknown comedians that are currently ruining your lives with their bad jokes. putting that aside, she's extremely approachable and easy to talk to. if you're having a conversation with her, it won't be seventy percent of you talking or seventy percent of her talking, i guarantee you'll both be sharing your interests.

jeon hyorim was born on june twenty second in the bustling hospital down the street, precisely in nowon district, south korea. she was raised by a caring and jocular married couple, jeon insu and jeon sebin. as a child, she was eternally bullied... by her older sister. it wasn't actually considered as 'bullying', but junghwa decided to give her little sister a noogie every span of five minutes was a good idea, which was not. putting that aside, hyorim was a little bit of a socially awkward kid in elementary. of course, she had one or two friends, but that was it. although socially awkward, she was quite a hyperactive child at home. this went on until middle school (or maybe high school, she's still a cringingly awkward person until now).
unlike most born-to-be-idols, she didn't attend an artsy and fancy private high school, no, their parents couldn't afford such schools. however, whilst attending her normal public school, she took the liberty of joining the dance extracurrilcular. it was tough being the only person there who wasn't gifted in dancing; hell, she couldn't even do the split properly, which was extremely embarrassing. her dancing improved bit by bit, the instructor kept on scolding her for the detailest and tiniest mistakes in order to help her. her technique was quite sloppy and messy, but she still improved.
at first, she had planned to take college entrance exams right after her graduation, but by then, she wasn't scouted like when she was by star empire at the age of sixteen— she stumbled upon a poster, a poster saying that a talent agency was in need of new and hopeful trainees. it was wrinkled and graffiti was all over it, although she did notice the poster's simplicity. she auditioned and got accepted in borium without any difficulties. a lot people told her, "don't do it, don't become an idol. being a trainee is going to be onerous. just don't." she felt like they were lying to her because of how generous the company was with their future artists. sure, the trainees didn't have a spacious and luxurious practice room, it was cramped and all, but it was enough for them to vocally and physically practice. after training for about three years, her backup dream was going to come true, almost similar to one of those ridiculous childhood fairytales. she thought it was absurd... in a good way.

meeting:
back in two thousand and thirteen, hyorim and hyeri were still an item, and hyorim decided to visit hyeri and GsD's performance of 'all that jazz' in star face off chuseok special. she wandered around backstage, trying to search for GsD's dressing room. although instead of seeing a beautiful woman dressed in black, her eyes landed on a crossdressing man with hairy armpits. she couldn't exactly tell who the person was, but his wig was tacky and his makeup was off. there weren't any staff walking around at that time. basically, she spotted at least five more crossdessing men and asked to herself, "wouldn't it be grand to ask these guys where hyeri's dressing room is?". that was certainly a regretful idea.

hyorim is almost always unamused with jaehwan's actions. whenever he annoys her out of the blue, she would kick him in the knee or just annoy him back. whenever they're together, the situation wouldn't be serious at all. their conversations ninety nine percent involves magical fictional characters and complaints about low calorie food.
