Help maybe?

So I was watching this set of vocaloid music videos called Story of Evil.

Then I had an idea for a fic like in this au.

But I researched and I realised that the person who made these videos already wrote books and although the plot is different (his is more complicated and not gay)...

Is it plagiarism if I write it?

(The characters are not the same but their profile is similar. And yeah I don't know anymore >< someone help please ><)

It's only plagiarism if you take all the credit for it. Just make sure you clearly state that you're writing your own version of or that you're basing it off of the creator's stories/music videos. Of course, you're adding your own stuff to your story, but as long as you give the creator the necessary credits he deserves then it won't be plagiarism. Good luck and have fun writing :)
