As you may have heard, flight MH17 was shot yesterday which resulted in a crash where all 298 passengers and crew were killed. 

I, as a citizen from the Netherlands, would want to offer my condolences to all the families and loved ones from the 173 Dutch people who died, of which at least 12 (that I know of) were young children. I also want to offer my condolences to all the family and loved ones of all the other people from whichever nationality that were also on the plane and got the same fate.

I can't imagine the horrors that they had to go through those last moments of their lives. They were meant to go on a fun and relaxing vacation, they were meant to go work, they were meant to visit loved ones....but all of a sudden it was all over...

My country and everyone in it (as well I know people all over the world) are shocked till the core. Radiostations, every Dutch channel and all the papers can't express how awful this disaster has been. There are no words for the loss. You can only feel it.

To all the loved ones and families I wish you all the best and that you may get strength from those around you to get through this horrible and tough experience. 

To all the one that died, may you rest in peace..
