BACKGROUND:
(start) - Byun Seungmin was born in Cheongju. she's close with her two younger siblings. Seungmin is a happy and bubbly type of girl. she has a low grades in academics or sports. she's really great when it comes to performing arts. she came from a broken family, her dad left them for another woman. since then, she started being sensitive about family things. she started to like music when she heard her mom sing before. she also watched idols in tv. as she was growing up, she decided to be an idol. she started danceing when she was watching idols perform.
- at the year of 1997, her mother brought them to California, they stayed at their grandparent's house and lived there. since she and seungmin's father had a huge fight again. and it's because of money. Seungmin's dad told her mom to pay for everything he gave. in short he wanted money to raise his son from another woman.
(2004) - she was taught how to dance by her aunt who was a dance instructor. starting from then, she would come to her aunt's studio and practice dancing. she didn't mind if other students are jealous of her skills. she would just shook it of and do her thing. one day, when she was walking in the streets of Seoul with her aunt, she saw a huge board stating about a dance contest. she asked to join which she did! on the day of the contest she did great but placed 3rd it was her first time joining a contest though.
(2006) - she's already twelve years old. she heard her brother rap. she was intrigued by it and asked where he learned it. well, he learned it by himself. seungmin was amazed and asked her brother to teach her how to rap. eventually after 6 months, she could rap but she needs to improve. her aunt will always help her practice things like instruments dancing and rap!
(2010) - she was confused about kpop, because that year, there were kpop groups that debuted. she was amazed by their talents. she made a decision to go after her dream. she auditioned through internet in Woollim Ent. she waited for a long time until she got a call saying that she was accepted. she needed to go to korea again. she prepared everything and lefty for korea. unluckily, she didn't know korean that well. she only knew basic.
she was an official trainee in woollim! she made friends, there was an american trainee who is now her best friend. she helped seungmin in learning hang/korean, she was thankful for it.
when SM and Woollim merged, she had a hard time adjusting. she felt sick because she was very tired and felt like giving up.
once she had a huge fight between a trainee (a bishy trainee) she almost was kicked out of the company, gladly she didn't.
