Are you more of a reader or a writer?

Depends. 2013, reader. 2014, writer. I guess it’s just a balance of being both. :D 

When did you first start reading/writing fanfiction?

READING:

2013 = I was Yongseo deprived, and really bored. I was googling latest news about them when I stumbled upon AFF. I normally don’t read stories with celebrities as the main characters (aka, fanfiction), but there was something about YS ff’s which pulled me in and later on, I was completely hooked. Needless to say, it fed my shipper’s delulu thoughts. :P

WRITING:

January 2014. It was a last minute, crazy idea to join the ff bandwagon because my favorite stories weren’t updating. I happen to have a draft file and instead of letting it go to waste, I rewrote it to become a Yongseo fanfiction. The rest, as they say, is history.

What’s the first fanfiction you ever read/wrote? What is it about?

Read: I don’t remember, tbh. There was a lot. If you ask me now, I think I might get the plots jumbled in my head. it’s all just Yongseo stories, so if you’re curious, you can just check the completed ones on this site. I probably read majority of it. :D

Wrote: Redefining Us. It’s about best friends who were too stubborn to admit that they’re in love. Throw in a couple of misunderstandings, more of their stubbornness, plus a wacky and loveable group of friends then you get a classic, cheesy, and hopefully, a nice romcom. :D

What ratings do you read/write?

Read: I tend to avoid M, , or yuri fics. I am picky when it comes to reading angst simply because I do not like the leftover feels I get from it. Unless the plot intrigues and hooks me in, or if the story is written beautifully, then I can handle the emo feels. I think. :p I like fluffy, romcoms, but I go for stories which have a consistent plot and character development. Also, writing style draws me in. Again, it’s all just Yongseo fics. I do read other fics once in a while like Krysmin (Krystal & CNBLUE’s Minhyuk) stories.

Write: Romcom. As much as it’s hard for me to believe, I usually end up writing cheesy, humor-filled, stuff. Lol. I think I tried several times to write angst, but maybe for now, it’s not my forte.

What was your first fandom?

I stan Taeyang a lot circa 2009-2010 because of Wedding Dress and Where U At. I didn’t get into fandom until early 2011. So, if it’s first fandom, maybe, SNSD? Then CNBLUE.

Prince Lee Shin and Chaekyung from Goong/Princess Hours.

Yongseo. Yongseo. Yongseo. Lol. Ok, let me expand the list: Krysmin, Jongtae (CNBLUE Jonghyun- SNSD Taeyeon), Sicshin (CNBLUE Jungshin-SNSD Jessica. Hahaha), Jongyoon. In short, it’s still CNSD + f(x) (for Krystal).

What is your favourite pairing to read/write about?

YONGSEO. I’m such a goguma. :p

Is there any pairing you refuse to read/write?

, Yuri, Dooley, and any other pair for Seohyun other than Yonghwa. Lol.  

What is your favourite genre?

Romcom. Bittersweet. Melo.

What is your least favourite genre?

ANGST. Action.

Which writer inspires your own work?

Depends. For RU and most of my works, no one specific (since it usually just stems from my hyperactive imagination. ;p).

For RV, it’s heavily Nicholas Sparks’ inspired + The Vow.

For YMI, it’s TFiOS by John Green and AWTR by Nicholas Sparks.

What story has the most impact to you, so much that you remember it all the time?

Unmasking Souls by lady_lia. There’s this other angel fic I forgot the title. It’s a yongseo fantasy ff.

What is the website you use most to read/write fanfiction?

AFF, LJ.

Any certain things you avoid reading/writing about?

, Yuri, extremely M-rated fics..and dooley fics (^_^\/)

What do you enjoy best about fanfiction in general?

I get to interact with fellow gogumas, first and foremost. Then, being able to improve my creativity, grammar, and writing style. I think. :p

Does the number of reviews tell how good a story is?

Not necessarily.

How long should a chapter be?

Are you seriously asking ME this? Lol. I feel guilty. My earlier chapters (esp for RU) were like 20 pages at average. BUT! I’m turning over a new leaf now. I’m doing my best to keep it short, like less than 10 pages, average 6-8. :D That way, readers won’t tell me it takes them forever to finish reading an update. Haha. Thanks to @tartytorts for being a good influence. :p 

Have you ever flamed someone?

I don’t mean to sound ignorant, but what does this mean? Like, offend someone? If that’s so, then my answer is No. :D

NO. And I'd really appreciate if my wall wouldn't be advertised with links. :)

I love them ALL! Lol, jk. First would always be Redefining Us. First ffs and I really worked hard on that one. It's light, complex, and writing it really felt like a journey. :D Second is Renewing Vows, and third would be Y + M = I (it’s not even halfway done but since I have the main events lined up in my head and some on my drafts including the ending, this deserves a spot on my favorites list. :’)).

Seohyun in Redefining Us.

Nope. :D

What warnings have you used on your stories?

LONG CHAPTER AHEAD. Prepare for the rollercoaster of emotions. This is NOT an M-rated chapter.  Lol.  

What makes you happy the most as a writer?

That I am able to express myself through stories and just let all the creative feels do their magic. Lol. Ok, another would be hearing and interacting with readers. Knowing that my work is able to make a person smile really warms my heart. Awww.. group hug! Ok, yuck. Ignore the sappiness you just read. xD 

Have you ever stolen something from another person’s work?

No. That's horrible, not to mention, a crime. I always give credit. Especially to Google! BFF. <3 besides, I like it the most when I can come up with an idea/story/concept/etc entirely on my own. :D

What do you feel is your biggest challenge when writing?

Writing in complete secrecy. My AFF venture is something not known to my friends and family IRL. Lol. Plus, the inevitable and forever unwelcomed, writer’s block. >.< 

Do you have any certain ritual to do before/while/after you write?

Yep.

Before: I should be able to have a clear outline of what I want to happen in the chapter I’m going to write before setting up my laptop.

While: I open a lot of tabs on google to get inspiration by checking twitter updates, reading other stories, or simply just quotes that would fuel up my imagination. I also tend to watch some clips of my otp in between to combat the block.

After: I re-read it for the nth time before making it public. Edit galore. Even if sometimes, there are grammatical errors which escape my untrained eye. :p Oh, and I treat myself to some snack after hours of hard work on an update. ^^

Do you actively advertise your story or request for reviews/upvotes?

For RU, I spammed some random AFF users’ walls with link to my story. Lol it was so embarrassing now that I think about it. I was such a rookie. Haha.  I think that was it. I tried sending in one of my ffs for review and it didn’t really work out (since the reviewer stated she isn’t a fan of one of the main characters, so I think that somehow affected the review). So yeah. That was the first and last of it. :D

Would you ever want a trailer for a fanfiction you’ve written to be made?

I’m not so sure. I think no. Readers and my imagination would be better. I love posters though. <3
