Miran grew up in a relatively peaceful family that consisted of her parents, her brother and herself. Her father was a merchant that often travelled to far parts of the world, often bringing back exotic gifts for his children. However, his job meant that he was rarely at home, and Miran only got to see him several times a year. Her father's job also meant that the family had enough to live rather comfortably. However, depsite being able to afford many fine things, Miran still led a simple life because of her mother. Her mother was kind and humble. She made her family get by without too many luxeries, and all the extra money was used to grow crops that they gave to the poor. Her reason for this? She simply wanted to make the world a better place, even if by a small degree. This was her life motto, and one that she would instill in her children as they grew up by making them help her with the growing and distribution of food, all the while explaining her purpose.

Growing up, Miran was quite a strange child. While most girls her age would simply be content playing with their dolls, Miran was only happy outdoors, even in bad weather. She spent all her time outdoors; when she wasn't helping with the crops or running around town giving food to the poor, she was in the forest that bordered their village. And while her ways often caused her mother grief by way of her often torn and muddied clothes, her mother didn't really mind Miran spending her time in the forests as she understood how much the forest and its inhabitants meant to her daughter. Her love for the outdoors wasn't the only thing that set her apart from the other girls. While most of them wouldn't be caught playing with a boy, Miran instead spent all her free time with the boy who lived 3 houses away; Tao.

Tao was considerably older than her by 4 years, but that didn't stop them from being the best of friends. Not a single day would go by when they didn't meet up to play in the forest, rain or shine. The two shared a common love for the outdoors and would spend countless hours climbing trees, chasing after and playing with wild animals; looking after the hurt ones together or simply just running around and having fun. The two knew everything there was to know about each other and were rarely seen in public without the other. Of course, all good things have to come to an end, and before her ninth brithday, Miran woke up to find her best friend gone. It was only later that she found out that his entire family had upped and moved away in the middle of the night without tellling anyone.

For a brief period, Miran had sunk into a sort of depression, both saddened and betrayed by Tao's sudden leave. It was during this time that she got closer to her brother, who spent every day trying to cheer her up and before long had replaced Tao's place in her heart as the person she was closest to. It was during this time that the two decided that they too would like to make the world a better place, but in their own way. Due to their adventurous spirits, both of them decided that they would be unable to do what their mother was doing but that one day they enlist in the military together, and protect the citizens.

When Miran was 10, her brother, then 16, decided to join the military, where he would later become a respected Hwarang and the king's personal bodyguard. In the beginning, he would come back often to visit, but after 6 years, no word had been heard from him again; and this worried the family. When Miran herself was 16, she decided to go look for brother by enlisting in the military, only to find out that he had died in the line of service 3 years ago. While this news might have cuased most people to quit and go straight home, it instead inspired Miran to continue on to become a Hwarang just like her brother. 

At first, Miran would do everything she could to protect the king. After all, if her brother was willto sacrifice his life for the king, so would she. She placed her trust in the king and was the most loyal him; nothing could ever convince her to betray him.

Later on, she would be passed a letter that her brother hadn't managed to send before he died. While reading it, she would realise via cryptic messages that her brother hadn't died in the line of duty, but had instead been killed after he had found out something that cast suspicion on the king.

SECRET. She does not hesitate to kill those who use their power to abuse those of a lower status; and she has killed people because of this

TRAITS. innocent, clumsy, loner, passionate, patient

[Gullible & innocent] That's the two words most people use to sum up Miran. With innocence that almost rivals that of a young and sheltered child;  Miran is one to see nothing but the positive traits of a person. Thus, she's very quick to trust others and believe everything they say; even going so far as to become a friend to strangers in the space of a second  as she would never once suspect if they have any bad intentions. Also with how gullible she is, she always ends up getting hurt by others, but she will nonetheless believe any words of forgiveness and regret, and within a few hours, will be back to her usual trusting self. Her innocence is often causes others worry as her too positive attitude on life makes it easy for others to take advantage of her, such as getting information out of her and bossing her around.

[Blunt & honest] Miran is a prime example of someone who speaks before thinking. Often, she accidentally voices out her thoughts without thinking about she is speaking to or where she is. Unfortunately, this leads to her accidentally offending others. Also, Miran is practically unable to lie, her face is like an open book and it is always very obvious to others when she is lying. She also talks back a lot; especially when others insult either her abilities or her looks. She will not hesitate to throw back an insult; although she usually runs out of comebacks after a while.

[Clumsy] Unfortunately, this girl was born with two left feet. Hardly able to walk 2 steps without falling over or causing an accident, Miran's clumsiness is often landing her in big trouble, especially since these accidents often occur in crucial times. Her clumsiness is the reason why other kinghts do not trust her much on missions, leading to her often being assigned to just sit in one spot out of sight to attack enemies with her darts,

[Self-conscious] Because of her habit of tripping over her own feet, her bluntness and her innocence which has led her to not understand the concept of dirty jokes and pranks, Miran is more often than not the target of jokes and pranks; which causes people to laugh at her very frequently (although sometimes she doesn't understand why they're laughing at her). Because of this, Miran has grown to fear attention, and is always trying her hardest to belnd in or hide away from eyes that catch onto her smallest mistake to laugh at. She is very conscious of her actions and panics every time she feels someone looking at her. However, every time people laugh at her, she just simply appears to laugh and shrug it off. Her self-consciousness also causes her to not talk a lot for fear of attracting attention.

[Determined, hardworking & passionate] Despite her clumsiness making her useless at most things, there is stll one thing that has to be admired about her. Her passion and hardwork. Although often told to simply quit, she always replies to these remarks with renewed vigour when it comes to training. She's not one to stay down when she falls; instead she'll always spring back to her feet and demand for second chances and advice until she manages to achieve her goal. Even when she does, she'll still train herself until her skill has reached the highest standard possible. She's determined to not have people baby her, which is something people do a lot of and also something she hates.

[Loyal, but reckless] Always wanting to prove her worth and show that she is not useless, Miran is always rushing head first into dangerous situations. Her belief that no one would be evil enough to hurt her does not help at all. She also cares a lot for her family and friends and when she hears if they might be trouble, she'll just rush in to save them without even waiting for proof that they are in danger.

[Patient, but clueless] Because of her assigned positions more often than not being to simply hide until her target is within shooting diistance, it is needless to say that Miran has developed a lot of patience. However, the time she spends waiting is always spent daydreaming, and she unfortunately has a bad habit of getting so absorbed in her daydreams that she doesn't hear or notice anything going on around her. Her habit of daydreaming is further carried into her everyday life, causing her to daydream all the time, which always leads to her never knowing what to do. 

[Strong sense of justice] Because she was raised with the motto of doing everything she can to better the worl, Miran has undertaken it to be her job to cleanse the world of people who use their power to bully. Her passion for this task is even greater than her passion for being a knight and she does not hesitate to kill whenever she sees a bully.

[Loner] With her self-consciousness and her accidental habit of offending people, Miran tends to avoid people at all costs. While others might be socialising, Miran can always be found hiding in the branches of a tree or traisping through the forest.

PERSONALITY. 

[Lazy] As Tao had been born into a family of well respected ninjas, this meant that other ninjas naturally respected him and that her never had to prove himself. As such, Tao usually spends him time fooling around instead of being serious and he has become a lazy person who says whatever he wants, does whatever he wants, and takes his time doing assignments in any way he wants, because his position as a ninja would never be threatened no matter what. His main concern at any one time is how to achieve his goal while having the most amount of funa dn spending the least energy.

[Heartless] For most, they would agree that Tao has everything but a conscience. He has a reputation among the ninjas as someone who kills innocent people without a thought, as long he can quickly deal with his target.

[Loves to tease] If there's one thing Tao is most known for, it's his love for teasing people. Often without a care for others' feelings, Tao is always teasing and insulting them until they're in tears.

[Chatterbox] A chatterbox by nature, Tao is always yakking on about random things to whoever had the misfortune to be stuck with him, regardless of whether it's even remotely related to whatever he was doing at that moment. 

[Every man for himself] One of the rules Tao was raised on was to never ever trust anyone and that when it came down to it, his first priority is himself. As such, Tao can count on one hand the number of people he trusts and is always the first to sbandon ship when something does wrong.

[A charming cheater] As much as he is lazy, when Tao puts his mind to something, he'll do whatever it takes to achieve his goal; altough they're always achieved by means of dirty tricks, which no one ever suspects him off because of his charm that he turns on and off at will.

MEETING. They already know each other from childhood. When they meet again, Tao would the one who's been assigned to kill the very person Miran has to protect. The two would be engaged in close combat, with Tao being the one who has the upper hand because of his experience. Meanwhile, because Miran is clumsy, she ends up tripping on something and falling over. She expects the ninja (she doesn't know who he was) to kill her immediately when she feels a blade at but instead she hears laughing and realizes its the ninja. Miran would then get angry and try to get back up to finish him off, but she'll almost fall over again in surprise when the ninja leans in to whisper in her ear, "Little sparrow, you're still as clumsy as ever."

After those words, Miran would feel insulted and would try to argue with and taunt the ninja, but he'll simply pick up her weapon and hand it back to her, all the while insulting her abilities as a Hwarang, before disappearing back into the shadows. Miran would leave trying to figure out the identity of the ninja, as use of "Little Sparrow" sounds familiar, but she won't be able to figure it out until their next encounter, when he takes off his mask.

RELATIONSHIP. It's a cat-dog relationship. The two would often encounter each other in combat and every time, Tao always manages to knock her weapon away etc. and have her trapped. To Tao's amusement and Miran's anger, instead of actually finishing the job, Tao would just waste precious time laughing at Miran's clumsiness and inexperience. The two would just end up bickering as Tao helps Miran back up and returns her weapon to her, often giving her a tip or two before disappearing.  

At first, Miran would still resent him for leaving without a goodbye, but over time, their friendship would slowly build back up into something more and they end up spending longer periods of time together at night just fooling around when they should be do their jobs and killing each other instead.
