You guys have probably heard of Baekyeon by now. If you are an Exotic or Sone, its pretty hard to miss. Apparently, Snsd Taeyeon and Exo Baekhyun are dating and have been for 4 months. I read a couple of blog posts and the comments that go with it, and about 80% of them are saying that they feel so hurt or that they are crying.

I know a couple of people stopped writing fanfictions starring Exo Baekhyun because of this thing. I am not trying to be rude here, but I have a lot of steam to blow off. Please read until the end.

First of all, we are fans. We do not know them personally and we do not know what they are really like. We need to stop acting as if an idol is a doll or car that you signed your name on so therefore its yours. Yes, idols come out on T.V and they do things to please us, but in the end they are still human meaning that they have a life too. They think and feel like any one of us do.

I understand that it is hard. I understand that the news that your bias is dating will shock you and make you feel upset. But we really have no reason to. We do not own them and they have the freedom to date whoever they want.

If we are real fans, then we should be happy when our bias is happy. After all the hardwork your bias puts into practicing and preforming just so they can please us, we should at least let them live their personal lives. 

"EXOstans are Tinkerbell. EXO is Peter Pan and he will find his Wendy and live happily ever after. Tinkerbell will only watch from afar."

I know fans are devastated and upset, but I really hope that you won't oppose the relationship. I really don't another idol couple to break up because of fans. I have already had enough with Shin She Kyung and Shinee Jonghyun. If you are true fans, even though it hurts, you will put on a smile and be happy for your bias just like they will do for us everyday.

Personally, I am actually rooting for this couple. Their fanbases are really strong and both are amazing performers. I want them to be able to break through criticisms and hate and be the actual idol couple.

Besides, they are dating. Not engaging or marrying. If fans are this panicked when there is news that they are dating, I would hate to see what they would do if they were marrying. Remember, we are fans and we have no right to "claim" or "control" idols.
