» PERSONALITY

This bloodtype B girl have a very independent nature, plus her very energetic character which spreads out her positive vibes around. She had always been admired for her kindness and helpful nature. Ri Ae is also quite optimistic and very ambitious, especially when it comes to her interests, such as basketball and dancing. And she takes opportunities as a challenge for her. If she fails, she would always try to work her way up again to succeed. Like her favourite quote from her idol, Michael Jordan, 'I've failed over, and over, and over, in my life, and that is why I succeed.'

Moreover, this girl is full of youthful enthusiasm and overflowing confidence in herself which makes her hugely popular among people. With a fine combination of humour, wit, and strength, plus a dash of feminine charm, she doesn't really have to work hard to attract people. Being a party girl, (she loves to go parties...), she loves being the centre of attention. As a friend, she would always stand by them through thick and thin, till the very end. That is to say, till they had solved their problems her friends may be facing. She doesn't want to be too involved in their problems, but she would certainly give them all the care and help they needed.

Ri Ae can sometimes become impatient as she likes to deal with her work quickly. She also can be quite possesive and tend to become jealous easily, for example, she doesn't like to share her friends with other people. She was often described as shallow and lazy. Well, the lazy part is true, as she hates to do work or anything if she was not asked, especially studying. But who would know that this party girl could top the scores in her school? She can be shallow at times as she always see people by the looks first, then the personality, like a person judging a book by its cover. She hates being shallow, as she almost losing her friends because of this trait.

Patience is not her strong suit, and it takes a lot of convincing to make her change her decision. Ironically, she can be arrogant and hurt other people's feelings as she is very straightforward (She can't control ). If she was rubbed in the wrong way, she can be hot-tempered and quite dramatic, so apologizing her won't be a good use as she prefers to be calmed down by herself. You won't see smiles on her right away, in fact, she might distant away from her friends. This is somehow a weakness from Ri Ae, she could be a good friend to anyone, always helping them out, but a good friend to her is quite hard to find, as it's hard to find someone who tolerates with her hard-headed character.

» Background

She was born in Daegu on November 27, 1995. She was the only daughter in her family. She stayed in Daegu until she was 10. She then moved to London because her parents had to continue their studies at University of Cambridge. When she was 14, she moved back to Daegu and continue her studies at Hyundai Chungun High School, the school where her closest cousin, Park Chan Yeol used to study. She started to become active in her Instagram, and was later on certified as an Ulzzang for her flawless face.

Chan Yeol was the person who made Ri Ae fell in love with music (He's the one who introduced Linkin Park to her). He's the one who would encourage her to show off her singing talent after when he heard her singing while playing her guitar. At first she was shy at first, because she doesn't think she had the talent, but with encouragement from him, she tried to improve herself. So she trained along with him in a music class in their neighbourhood. Sometimes, she would also play the guitar with him. She improved in her singing and dancing skills, plus an extra practice in her rapping.

A year later, Ri Ae and Chan Yeol tried to enroll in SM Ent (with their parents' permission), but only her cousin was casted to SM Ent. She wasn't chosen due to lack of talent and age. Well, Ri Ae was sad, of course. So, almost half of her day, every day, she tried to improve her talents. Her biggest achievement was when she became the lead actress in her musical, Swan Lake: A Modern Fairytale, which is the time that she knew that she was ready and by the year 2011, she tried her luck to audition at BigHit Ent, and was accepted.

On-stage, he is very charismatic, and flaunts off his manly yet seductive looks that normally comes out when he sings. Sometimes he gives off his I-don't-care-and-you-don't-want-to-mess-with-me look to the fans which makes them go crazy about him. Plus his amazing dance skill sure can wow people... (If you're an ARMY, yeah, you know better... :P)

Off-stage, at first look, you can see that he is quite quiet. But once you get to know him, he's not the person that you always see onstage. He's actually an alien that has fallen from outer space. (Hehe... Just kidding!) Hmm... He's actually a very crazy, hyperactive person, but you can't hate him. Well, he's very likeable and does care about the people around him.

» INTERACTIONS

Well, both of them are actually childhood friends. At first it was just like normal friends, with all those petty fights and quarrelling. But when they reunited again when they were 14 (when Ri Ae went to UK), they both see each other differently. They kept their feelings for each other, not letting anyone know (except for their other best friend, Jimin, who knows about their feellings for each other). Both of them continued to study at the same school and university. In 2013, it started to get hard for them to like contact each other because he just debuted and Ri Ae being a busy trainee, but they managed to send texts to each other late at night.

They just act like normal best friends, like the friendly fights, arm on each other's shoulder, random hugs and such... But sometimes, awkward moment comes up. Whenever Ri Ae hangs out with other guys, Tae Hyung get jealous. And whenever V hangs out with other girls, Ri Ae gets jealous.
