Her father was an English teacher, so he got jobs all over the place. She moved to Taipei and began to attend a public school. She was a bit of a trouble maker because her temper was short. She had no siblings and wasn't quite used to playing with other children. She picked alot of fights. Riri got suspended from school a good amount of times. This continued until she was into highschool, when her father got a job in Hong Kong. She attended highschool there and got involved in sports. Because she was on sports teams, Riri couldn't do bad in school or be suspended. So she stopped picking fights and ignored everyone in favour of studying. She graduated top of her class, much to everyone's surprise. After she was accepted into SM entertainment, she relocated to Seoul and is currently attending Kyunghee University and majoring in international business.

She always tries to be the best and never settles for anything less. She's very materialistic and loves jewels, expensive brands and money. Riri loves to shop and has an extensive make-up and clothing collection. She also has ALOT of stuffed bunnies. When people hear this, they believe Riri is the epitome of girliness, but Riri is actually a huge videogamer. Her favourite thing to do is play rugby, a contact sport.  She's trained in the martial arts and she's powerful enough to kick someone through a wall (exaggerating, but still, she's pretty strong). Riri is very lazy and loves to sleep in. She's also impatient and doesn't like manual labour so she always plays the "I'm older than you, therefore you must do my work" card with her dongsaengs. One thing Riri loves to do is make people laugh. If she can get one person smiling, she's happy. Riri also believes she fails at aegyo, although she's never tried it. She probably does...

Background [include in paragraph form explaining your audition thoughts and any reactions you got from friends and family]: Riri actually wanted to move to North America to become an athlete. She never thought of getting involved with singing and dancing. When she moved to Hong Kong, she didn't really want to make friends with any of her classmates, so she would often spend her time wandering the city. She saw street performers doing a dance routine in the square and everyday she would go to watch them. They eventually befriended her and taught her all they knew. There, that's when Riri learned to beatbox, dance, rap and sing. The performers liked her singing and rapping so much they would have her provide the music when they performed. During one of these perfomances, an SM scout discovered her and wanted to sign her. She was accepted in SM and planned to relocate to Seoul. Both of her parents loved the idea but her grandmother wanted her to become a wealthy business woman. Her grandmother refused to speak to Riri if she left for Seoul. But Riri couldn't pass up the opportunity, and so she left for Korea without reconciling with her grandmother. This is why she studies international business at Kyunghee

Family Backgroud [include any tragedies like accidents, business, divorces, etc. - paragraph form]: For tthe most part, Riri's life was pretty normal. She didn't have any family problems. They were very close knit because they moved a lot and usually the only people they had for company were themselves. Riri's grandfather died when Riri was 12. He co-owned a very successful pharmaceutical company and that is why Riri's grandmother wants Riri to become involved in business.  The new pharmaceutical company head is Choi Ki Ho, Choi Siwon's father. They aren't family friends though. Riri doesn't know who owns the company now. Her parents are perfectly content with her persuing anything she wants to be.

Father- Huang Shen-Lao, 46, very kind-hearted and always has his daughter's best interest at heart. He loves children and even though he could've taken over the medicinal company, he chose to remain an English teacher. He's very interested in the world and likes to travel. Shen-Lao always insists his daughter learn new languages. The only thing he doesn't like is when his daughter gets hurt. That's why he hated it when Riri decided to play rough, contact sports. She came home with a black eye one day and he had a freak out, but that's just because he loves his daughter. Shen-Lao is still alive and healthy.

Mother- Huang (nee Jung) Hye-Rin, 47, she's a sort of strict mother that didn't like when Riri picked fights at school. She insists Riri be the best that she can be. When her grades began to pick up, Hye-Rin insisted Riri be the top of her class. She doesn't mind Riri playing rough sports, in fact she encourages it. She's a tough but caring mother. Hye-Rin was born in Mokpo, Korea but when she met Shen-Lao, she moved to Taiwan. She is a real estate agent. Hye-Rin is alive and well.

1. Choi Siwon of Super Junior- When Riri first saw Siwon, he was doing a very serious photoshoot. She thought he looked absolutely gorgeous and she couldn't take her eyes off him. When she saw him again, he was being a total dork. She was obviously quite confused. Was this the same person? She became interested in him because he was so carefree and funny but had a very mysterious side to him. She thought it was weird. He can handle idol life so well.
2. Choi Minho of SHINee- Riri is biased towards idols who are good at sports. Minho just takes the cake. He's gorgeous and he is amazing at sports. Riri thought he was very quiet and thoughtful and she always wanted to know what was going on in his head. When she saw him in Dream Team, he was so fired up and pumped. It was a different side than what she was used to.
3. Onew of SHINee- Onew cracks jokes that are so stupid. She loves it though. He's so awkward and he falls everywhere and she always laughs. His smile is cute and he's very sweet. She didn't see him first. She actually heard him. He was practicing his singing in one of the rooms and she thought his voice was so soft and lovely.

1. Amber Liu of f(x)- When Riri first came to Korea, she wasn't comfotable speaking Korean and she didn't know her way around. Amber helped her out since she was also Taiwanese and spoke Mandarin. Riri likes how Amber isn't the same as everyone else and is so friendly with everyone. She's funny and is always shopping with Riri. Best friends!
2. Henry Lau of SJM- Henry met Riri when Amber was helping her get settled down in Korea. He's very eccentric and always knows how to make Riri laugh. She loves Henry's cheeks and she calls him "Bao zi" which is "bun" in reference to his cheeks. She always gives her tips for her dancing and they watch Seoul's street performances together. They are best friends.

•  Yoona of SNSD- Admittedly, Riri doesn't like the recognition Yoona gets for being "the ideal woman" of Korea. Riri feels that Yoona embodies every concept of beauty that Riri always fights against. She's deathly pale and very skinny. Riri likes to be tanned and athletic. Riri also feels that Yoona is a bad rolemodel to some girls because they wanted to be so much like her. They get plastic surgery to get a higher nose like her. They tape their eyelids to have a double lid like her. They are afraid of the sun. They are afraid to be active and play sports. All because they want to be like Yoona.
• Yuri of SNSD- She's jealous of Yuri because the media does a very good job of making it look like she likes Siwon and Minho. Fans always say that Siwon or Minho look best with a girl like Yuri and she doesn't like that.
