Background & History: AJ was born on the 15th of February on the year 1998 in Loudi, Hunan, China. AJ's father is full Chinese while his mother is half and half of Singaporean and Taiwanese. Born to a large family, the Meng family, AJ is cousins with Miss A's Jia. AJ lived in Luodi for a while but they eventually mvoed to her mother's country, Singapore after they had bought a house there. AJ has lived in Singapore since the age of eight. 

When news broke out that his cousin, Jia, was beginning to be popular in China with three other girls, he was thrilled.  Jia was always so supportive of him since they both liked to dance together and would often rap to some Chinese songs back in the days. Even with a nine year , Jia and AJ can still connect with each other through music and dance. AJ had always loved his cousin. He would always watch her videos and support her in Singapore by spreading their popularity in his school. 

So when he heard that Jia was flying to Korea to debut as an artist, he wanted to do the same too. Jia was the source of his dreams, and seeing her achieve her own, he wanted that kind of happiness too. At first, his parents were definitely against it but with much perusasion from Jia and her parents, Mr and Mrs Feng had agreed. AJ flew to Korea in early 2012 and pursued his studies there while living in Seoul with his cousin Jia and her parents. 

Personality: 
| childish & fun-loving | since he's still young, AJ is very much a fan of the word 'fun'. He's very playful and super hyper, it gets him at least 20 hours of straight dancing, like non-stop, to make him tired. But sometimes, even that doesn't work on making him tired. He's also sporty and plays whatever sport is suggested by his friends. He's sometimes childish and jokes a lot which makes a fun person to be around with because he's so positive and just plain funny. 

| obedient & witty | at home, AJ is very obedient to her aunt and uncle and even when he was in Singapore, he would always listen to what his parents would tell him to do. He's a very kind and gentle kid and knows how to differientiate right from wrong. He's also very smart and has a quick tongue, dubbing him as blunt by Jia since he just says what's on his mind. He's also very fast to understand questions and situations easily making him very witty and responsible, so now wonder why he's one of the top students.

| immature  & bratty | sometimes though, AJ can be a bit of a bluff and a brat since he sometimes think he's all that since his cousin is Miss A's Jia and his family is a family of artists and dancers (some of his cousins are idols in China as well and even actors)  He often likes to brag about himself and is very over-confident of his skills. He likes to feel superior since like I said, he just thinks he's all that. And this side of him is the immature side that is blinded by his confidence. 

Trainee life and training period: 2 years at YG. 

In early 2012, when he moved to Seoul, Jia told him not to audition for JYP since at that time, it was not a good position to be a trainee since Park Jin Young had already organized and finalized the members for soon to debut groups (5Live, 6Mix, Got7) so she told him to audition for other companies instead. Jia had encouraged him and supported him despite her busy schedule at that time. AJ auditioned for CJEs Entertainment but didn't get through, unfortunately. He auditioned in YG by Jia's suggestion and to his delight, he got in! 

Ever since then, YG has been keeping an eye on him from time to time to see his progression and AJ did his best in dancing and rapping the most since that is his forte. Though he has a smooth voice, he isn't quite suited for the vocalist position and he knows this. He made friends with some of the trainees as well, including his WINNER and Team B hyungs. 

After two years of hardwork and sweat, he finally got to be part of the member line-up for Alektro, a co-ed group.

The two became friends during Soohyun's short training period in YG since she had experience already from being a contestant of a reality show, kpop star. AJ sees her as a little sister but is blind for her feelings of him. 

Goo Junhwae // Team B's vocalist and funny man // 17 // Junhwae started training in YG the same time AJ did, and being the two new trainees, they decided to be each other's first friends. Yes, Junhwae was AJ's first trainee friend in YG and AJ was the same to Junhwae. Eventually though, Junhwae had been assigned to be in Team B while AJ had to be with another group. But still, the two remain to be close friends up to now.
