Hello Kitty You're So Pretty x3

Anyone heard of Avril Lavigne?? She is a Canadian poprock singer that has been around for years. (Her music is legendary if you ask me^^) Recently, many people have been calling her a racist because of this video:

Sure it's weird and unlike her songs in the past but it is worth causing a controversy over?? Most of the complaints are about about her using Japanese words in an English song. Petty much?? As if Japanese songs aren't flooded with English words that have no correlation to the rest of the lyrics. People also said that she only did this MV for the profit. Don't all artist do things for profit?? There's not a single famous singer out here that doesn't like making money.

Unlike some I don't find anything about the video offensive. Just because it in Tokyo and has sushi and soju does not mean she's a racist.  It just looks like a white girl trying to mimick Japanese culture. I don't see the big deal. The majority of Kpop mimicks Western culture. And if it was an Asian woman singing the song there wouldn't be a problem with this. I think the song and video are cute and fun. I like everything about it. My favorite part is the train sounds at the beginning and ending. I feel like I am back in my anime watching days.

She cleared up rumors by saying she loves Japanese culture and she made this video to thank her Japanese fans. I mean for all we know this video probably wasn't even her idea. If that's the case then you should blame the director and producer, not the artist. And compared to all the profane and explicit music circulating these days "Hello Kitty" seems Rated G.
