My opinion on the whole Kris fiasco...

1) Lots of fans are like, "We Believe In You, Kris", and I personally see it as, the fans believe in Kris as in he's not going to leave. 
But, do you see how selfish some of us are being? 
It adds unnecessary pressure on Kris. It's probably breaking his heart more, as he carries on with the lawsuit. Let's think about Kris' point of view. 
2) Kris is Duizhang for good reasons- he stands up for himself and the ones around him and the ones he cares about. If something is wrong, he would want to make it right, no matter who it is. 
You saw how Kai was on that stage, with his waist. And Lay's. What care is SM giving? Kris has more right to get himself out of SM, before something of the sort happens to him. 
There is a reason Hangeng, Yoochun, Junsu, Jaejoong all filed against, SM, right?
3) But I think, what SM did to him/them must be really bad, because Kris loves and cares his brothers, especially Tao. Kris will stop eating (imagine, they probably don't get too much time to eat or sleep) and go to the bathroom with Tao, because he is scared. So Kris really deserves to leave, if that's what he wants. But maybe he doesn't, maybe he just wants a better contract?
4) We will miss him. (If he leaves) But instead of being sad that he is or might be leaving, and that we won't see him anymore, let's just be happy that he won't be abused by SM anymore, and just remember all the good times with him... 
5) Cheer up if you are seriously, seriously sad- Kris might just want a better contract.
