Young girl in China

I was writing this story where the main guy is Chinese in honor of my friend who just gave birth to twins. (I know. I'll share the connection of X and Y soon.) So I realized I had to do some research to make the characters seem legit. And darn, I figured just looking up on the internet for information is such laborious task! There's so much to know about China--their customs, traditions, myths and legends. I literally don't know where to start.

Or maybe I do.

I clicked on some myths China has on this website. But then there were more than a hundred listed. I don't exactly have the liberty of time so I decided again that I needed to filter my searches about love/marriages, since that's where my story is kind of focused on.

Clicking this link, I found out ten to thirty myths about Chinese gods and goddesses/deities in the category of love and marriage. And aside from that are dozens of customs, traditions and history articles that are related to the word.

Goddamn.

Six more hours and my internet connection's going to end. Will I finish this?

I don't know. I feel like giving up. But I can't. This is the last part-- the most CRUCIAL part of the story where the male lead relays an old Chinese myth to his girlfriend. And they live happily ever after. (That myth is what  I don't have an idea WHAT yet. I figured whichever I'll choose from the story roster would affect how this story would end. Kind of like a dating game where every choice MATTERS. Right now, about seven tabs are opened and my eyes are darting here and there, quickly filtering the story's content.)

Okay, so I don't want my friend to miss this. I need to update soon. But first...the tabs. THE TABS. :/
