Maybe the reason we have all these stories with exaggerated and easy-to-read storylines is because of the super popular super junior fic, where even the OC had her own tag and fans. It used to be the fic with the most subacribers until the [subscribers only] thing and Exo came. It was like the one that started the cliche plots, where the person happens to have an idol as a brother and has to live wit them for a certain period of time then all the members fall in love with her. it was unique at the time. Now it's unoriginal and childish. People wanted to get famous as well, so they copied the idea and started a trend.
