My Next Step

First of all, thank you for the readers of Breath of Life who haven't given up even if I did not update for months. It really was a hard decision to let the story end like that. If you have any questions about the ending, ask me by commenting below. I'll try to answer while keeping the open ending.

 

What happened these past few months

Well, college took up most of my time and energy. It has been really hectic with plates piling up. I almost had no sleep every week because I had to finish all of them. Trust me, deadlines are killing me. Plus, I have been active on extracurricular activities and it has been fun ever since.

I also am slowly discovering myself. Who I really am and all that stuff.

To defend myself, I did not forget Breath of Life. It haunted me that I have let you guys hanging in the most crucial chapter. I have been thinking since on how I'll end the story. I've been reading young adult novels and I loved how real the endings were. And just yesterday, I had the courage to write four short chapters to end it.

 

Moving on and experimenting

Yes, I will still continue writing fanfics, but I cannot assure everyone that I can update as often as before. But one thing that I can assure all of you is that I can finish my fanfic. I will not leave you all hanging.

And I've been thinking of experimenting and trying to get out of my comfort zone.

Don't get me wrong, I love MinSul. And I will never leave that ship. But I wanted to try pairing other idols for a change.

 

The new fanfic I've been working on

Yesterday, I started thinking of what my new fanfic would be. I am very excited with this new journey and I've written half of the first chapter, and I'm loving it so far.

To answer things in your mind:

  1. Yes, MinSul will still be part of the fanfic. BUT, not as the main characters anymore. Just like what I said earlier, I wanted to experiment.
  2. E-X-O. Yep, you read it right. I've been quite a fan of them for sometime now.
  3. The story wouldn't be as heavy and twisted as "Breath of Life" but also wouldn't be as light as "Choi Minho Must Die".
  4. The main couple are two boys.

That's it. I won't be spoiling things!

Okay.. Hi Max, I'm glad you want to share about your activities during your hiatus mode and about the next step you want to do. Alright, Everyone has a choice and I hope you get the pleasure of your choice.
I am sure, I will greatly miss minsul story of a writer like you.

Yes! Join the Exo fan club man ;D you know, you're actually one of my inspirations when it comes to writing. I absolutely loved writing ever since I was a kid, and it was actually you who sort of gave me courage to start writing publicly here. If I haven't remembered wrong, I think I was the first commenter of your very first fic, and I honestly felt your maturity throughout your journey up until Breath of Life. I do hope my comments have been at least some sort of motivation to you. :) so when you said you were going to start moving on and maybe try writing for other couples, I am totally on your side. Like it hit me right on the spot. I've been thinking about trying out other groups, but somehow I just never have much courage to do so. It's that comfort zone thing you mentioned, exactly that. I'll have a think about it again. :)
So yeah, that's about it. Sorry for the long comment!
To wrap it up, I'm gonna say I'll be supportive of whatever path you choose in your adventure. It take courage to step out of your comfort zone, and your brave. This is coming from a 14 year old fangirl, but I mean every word I said.

Tbh. Am quite disappointed with the ending. Its obvious u want to end it quickly and u finish it in such a short time. I don't mind u have been busy with college and so on. And even of its take years for you to update, we will wait. But I guess, u hv no passion towards the couple anymore. Don't get me wrong. Am not blaming you. Everyone has its right towards their own preference. Its just, I missed those old times and I still rmb, ur 1st fic, " Choi Minho must die" is my very 1st subscription story in this site. Well, wish u best of luck then. Thanks authornim ^^
