For the most part, Huang Meixiu is that one relaxed girl amongst people with comepletely different personalities. She isn't loud and doesn't consider herself as a party-goer, since she would much rather like to stay home and watch a movie marathon. Meixiu, with the exception of promoting and singing, is a totally laidback person and is somehow the glue that binds together the members of Phobia-M, which makes her a well-rounded leader. She is a selfess, puts others in front of her, no matter what their relationship with her is; enemy, stranger, or friend. Whenever her members would get into trouble, Meixiu would take the blame. She probably has never heard of the word "cleaning", since her dorm is a total mess and it seems like it's going to stay that way for quite a long time She would probably be the calmest in an earthquake or a break in, letting her natural insticts take over her and lead the way. When the rare moment of being angry comes, Meixiu wouldn't even stop to realize that she is angry, she would end up spitting out nonsense to herself and pacing around, agitated. Her mind would go beserk, to the point where she would just end up fainting out of stress from anger.

Meixiu was raised to be a proper and polite child, never once uttering a swear word or an insult. She is a very kind person and being the glue of Phobia-M, likes to keep the peace by putting problems into her own hands to fix them herself. She truly does care for the people around her and seems to often play the role of a therapist when someone needs help. Meixiu's favorite quote is, "We rise by lifting others up." She literally lives by that motto and likes keeping the people around her happy. She would easily sacrifice anything for her friends and family, always being the bright light and motivator. It took years for Meixiu to learn how to keep her negative emotions under lock and key, especially since her mother was bipolor, but she now had most of it under control. Most.

Although she claims to be "laidback", most people would describe Meixiu as..lazy. She really doesn't have a savvy for working hard and almost didn't debut because of that. Often seen taking the easy way out when it comes to working, Meixiu must be the biggest procrascinator in South Korea. Her dorm room is a prime example of how lazy she is with chores. She's also a bit colorless, or I suppose dull, especially with her sense of humor. Meixiu has the most boring sense of humor ever. Although exaggerated, it's quite close. She never gets the funniest of jokes and ends up having a blank poker face. When she tried to make people laugh, all she really gets is a bored yawn or a raised eyebrow. It's hard for Meixiu to be outgoing and wild, having the most trouble with being a total mannquin during photoshoots. She's not very comfortable in her own skin, but that doesn't mean that she's totally insecure. She's just..stiff, for the most part. Not to mention, Meixiu is somewhat of a coward, particularly with facing her angrophobia. 

Huang Meixiu's grandparents moved to the wonderous province of British Columbia located in Canada in the mid-1950s, all the way from China. Since then, her mom was raised and adapted to the whole new culture in a whole new country. Soon enough, the eldest daughter met and married a man named Liu Zhang Wei, who was also from an Asian immigrant family. After quite some time, Meixiu and her three siblings were born.

Growing up with three sisters was maddening at times, but Meixiu was considered the 'good child' for the most part. Never getting into trouble and always following her parents wishes. She always reminded herself to be a good rolemodel for the people around her, particularly her sisters. Her sisters often ended up getting violent at school and dating boys were always a problem, which became one of the most 'discussed' topics between her parents. Obviously, Meixiu's rational tactics didn't work and always felt like she needed to be the glue that kept the family together, by making sure her sisters didn't cause trouble, otherwise it would cause trouble for her parents. In the end, Meixiu failed. She blames herself to this day for all the arguments that her parents had. She carries on the weight of being an idol, another thing to as why she thinks her family fell apart.

Her wish to become an idol was unexpected. No, not just that. It was impulsive. That's what her father described it as. Meixiu had outstanding grades and could have any job in the world, be admitted to any university, but she instead decides to drop out of highschool before she even had a chance. Then, came more arguments. Her father blamed her mother for being the one who enrolled Meixiu in singing lessons, while the latter blamed him for buying her a guitar. It finally hit her. All these years, Meixiu was a spoiled child, she couldn't deny it. She was too perfect in her parent's eyes, perhaps that why they found her desicion unexpected. Meixiu had granted all of her parent's wishes throughout the years, but she now understood why they wouldn't accept this one demand. 

Meixiu and Kris are like two unfit puzzle pieces. He's easily irritated by the smallest of things and is certainly not the most patient person in the world. Not to mention, he knows a little too well that he has many admirers. Despite this, Kris truly is a caring person, even if it's deep down, especially toward his fans and Meixiu. At first, Meixiu definitely did not want to get into a relationship of any kind, it was far too much of a distraction. She wasn't interested in anyone, especially not her male counterpart from their 'brother' group. It would only cause scandals and she already experienced that before. But, Kris intrigued her. It was something about his genuine smile that he gave out to a crowd or the way he was everything his stage persona wasn't. It was like uncovering a mystery, the mystery behind the cold guy alter ego that was so hard to break down, like a brick wall. He didn't understand how Meixiu could tolerate being kind all the time, but soon he realized that he was slowly picking up on her mannerisms, being more polite and kind than he ever was before. Kris, also, was reluctant to like her. The only thing that would come out of a relationship with Meixiu would be angry saesangs and a good yelling from their manager. When they first met, he wanted nothing to do with some new plastic fantastic trainee, probably untalented too. He just thought that she was a brat, based on how quiet she was. His judgementalness wore down with time and he soon began to have feelings for her, after truly getting to know each other.

Whenever Meixiu seems to be around Kris, she seems tense and feels like a silly middle schooler again. At first, she didn't know what to say to him or what to do, to the point where she would actually stutter. He found her annoying and uptight, since she was so quiet. They can't hold one conversation together without an awkward silence. It wasn't until Kris found her drunk at Phobia's debut party (or whatever party) and Meixiu suddenly decided that it was time for her to vent out her feelings out of nowhere. She started blabbing about how her parents didn't accept her as an idol and how she was going to prove them wrong. That was when Kris recognized her as a strong person.

When Meixiu found out about this, she was obviously embarrassed. But, she then felt more comfortable around Kris after that incident. They became mutal friends and Kris treated her like one. He was a lot kinder to her by then and didn't look down on her like he did from the beginning, even helping her with her singing or rapping at times. They apparently had a lot in common, considering they both lived in Canada and even in the same province. The two of them weren't known for long conversations, but there seemed to be an common aura around them. Kris was still being somewhat distant toward her, which bothered Meixiu a lot. 

It was when Kris first yelled at Meixiu, when she actually became afraid of him for that moment. He didn't know about her angrophobia, so when she ran away, he didn't think anything of it. When he finally realized his mistake, he made a beeline for Meixiu to apologize sincerely. It made them a lot closer and the distantness that Meixiu felt with him was now gone. Yet, she was afraid to reveal her new-found mutalism with him, after the old drinking scandal, while a dating one would be a lot worse. So, Meixiu sneaks around and at first, Kris thought that she was embarassed by him.
