background: Haneul's father left her mother when she was 7 years old and her mother fell into depression, so she has send Haneul to her relatives in Daegu who raised her. Even though she received lots of love from them she still felt as a burden to them, so she was always eager to be the best to make them proud and she always was the best. Slowly she got used to being the best and hated to be something else than it. Her mother would visit her occasionally but all Haneul heard about were her failed relationships, so Haneul doesn't belive in lasting relationships.

She took part of a exchange program to Osaka in Japan for one year when she was 14. In Osaka she automatically became the queenka of the school, thanks to her good looks and she received many confessions. Once she accepted one and started to date him, and she liked it. She loved being treated as a princess, but because she didn't want to end like her mother, she broke up after a few months, but that didnt't stop the guys to approach her. She started to meet up with them and honestly enjoyed being with different guys, so it closely became a habit of hers. Dating guys, rejecting them, meeting new guys. When she came back to Korea her Cousin, Kim Kibum, told her that he planned to go to Seoul to audition and asked her if she wanted to give it a try too. She agreed and got accepted as a SM trainee because of her outstanding singing abilties. She trained in SM for 2 years before she changed to MAD Entertainment that happily accepted her.

how you interact: On-cam Hyorin and Haneul would both praise each others singing skills but, especially Haneul, would add that she was still better than her and they would also glare at each other.

Off-cam they would usually ignore each other, but if Hyorin starts to leave a snarky remark, Haneul would talk arrogantly to her and look down on her. If the comments get worse she also hit Hyorin once and it turned into a fight.

how you interact: there isn't much difference between on-cam and off-cam. They're really friendly to each other and would even talk about their script if they're casted in the same drama. If they happen to be near each other's set they would also go to greet each other.
