I did the audition last year with my two best friends! Mikayla was going to rap but she quickly changed her mind and started singing (she was no. 34 and I was no. 35 and Ane was no. 36). Mikayla went first and she stopped singing and when it was my turn, I forgot my song. I mentally panicked lol. So I quickly started singing another song that I have not practiced on but I did well. When I was done, they moved to Ane and my hands were trembling so I still kept on staring at the adults and blindly searched for Mikayla's hand to hold on tightly. One of the ladies saw me do this and smiled and I guess she liked the fanservice so I told Mikayla that we might get a few extra points BWHAHAHA. Ane was a dancer so they skipped her. When everyone was done with their singing and such, the dancers all had to stand in the middle of the room and then the adults would turn up a random song on the radio and the performers had to freestyle.
I auditioned there!!!
They give you a number and they will be calling by rows of numbers (like if you are 8, they would call out the numbers 1 through 10 to go to their room). Once you're outside the room, the group of people that are in the room will have to finish what every they are doing and then walk out and you enter in with the other 10 or 15 people in your row. Half of those people that are with you sit on chairs (that are on the side) and the rest have to stand near the wall. (it's kind of like american idol except with one person, there are 10 or 15 or 20.) the first half will have to audition in front of everyone (there is a lady or a man that gives out directions and another lady/man who video tapes). You have the number stick to your clothing (just a fyi). You will go by numbers so the person who has the lowest number will sing. The people who are dancers are last. You just sing any song you practiced in front of everyone and you have to look directly at the camera or at the adults. The air is pretty intense since nobody is talking and everyone is nervous so try your best to stay calm. You sing but if you sing too long, you're going to be cut off. Just stop singing and bow when you are done singing and then they will just go to the next person.
There's nothing wrong in trying :) just give it a try to experience how it feels to audition :) it maybe nerve wrecking but it also feels good knowing that you had new experiences! GOOD LUCK and I hope you make it if ever :)
