Will everyone please stop being so goddamn insensitive?!
I've been reading many posts about EXO's comeback being delayed. Many are annoyed and have expressed a huge disapproval about this, especially international fans. The music video was delayed, promotions were delayed, the release of the album was delayed. Yes, we all know that. But not everyone knows the reason why it's like that.
First of all, to the fans who does not know about the recent tragedy in South Korea that caused the whole country to mourn, was the ferry tragedy. It killed innocent people and more than 200 people are still missing. It's a serious case and everyone in South Korea is in grief. Everyone who's completely aware of the tragedy, especially them, could only pray for the lives lost and the ones who are still missing, in hopes that they all would be found.
It's really offensive and humiliating to see posts on many SNS accounts about the delay of EXO's comeback because of the tragedy. Yes, were all excited for EXO's comeback. We're fans and it's understandable that we all could not wait to see our idols to get back in the game.
But come on!!!
EXO's freaking teaser and facebook page is all filled with complaints and heated debates to why SM is still not releasing the music video for 'Overdose' and starting the boys' promotions.
SM Entertainment and the Korean entertainment industry as a whole has a legitimate reason to why everything is being halted. It's mainly to show respect to the whole nation who is mourning over the tragedy. It's just the right and moral thing to do.
And how could EXO even perform in front of their fans with a huge smile on their face when they clearly know that their fellow countrymen are suffering? It's just unethical, so everyone needs to understand why they've postponed the promotions and the awaited comeback of EXO.
I'm just asking everyone to not be so insensitive about this and understand what kind of situation South Korea is in right now. Yes, some people might not be from South Korea and does not care about the situation, but at least stop being so narrow-minded about the whole thing and at least try to understand everyone's perspective of the tragedy.
