Are You Kidding Me?

South Korean Ship Sinks, Killing Lives of Many High Schoolers

Okay, that's probably something you're most likely going to see while you're scrolling around on any social media network or the internet in general, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Tumblr, and even here on AsianFanFics. You may have also seen posts going viral about students and even adults who may have thought it was funny to go and make up fake messages, claiming to have been in the ship wreck. Are you kidding me? This is no joke, and to have a single nerve to even think of something is absolutely suprising (and not in the good way either). Do you have no heart, ladies and gentlemen, to take this epidemic that may or may not happen to your own country and take it as a joke? If anything, I am not only blaming these children whom I don't know of, and will never want to know of. Oh lord. I'm probably going to get hate for this, but then again, who reads my blog posts anyways? However, this is something that just is so heartbreaking and just disturbing. Exotics. Now before, some fellow exotics start to bash on me, I really hope you guys do understand, that the majority of Exotics do care about what has happened to South Korea, and I am not pointing fingers at anyone in particular, here on AFF. I am just stating my opinions and will not post any pictures of where I got my information from. It is up to you, dear readers if you want to continue digging deeper into this. Anyways, back to the point. As many of you may know, around the internet, especially for those who are acquainted within the kpop fandom, there has been pictures (or should I say screen caps) of fellow Exotics commenting heartless things such as, "Where the hell is the Overdose MV? I don't care if the ship sank. Exo wasn't on the ship, so why must the postpone the music video release." [note: this is not something someone has said, or anything that i know of, but a mere example of what may or may not have been said by others]. How can fans, as dedicated as an Exotic, have the audacity to say something like this. Yes, I know, some have been waiting for their "oppas" far too long to have their comeback to be delayed, HOWEVER, it is your job as a fan to respect whatever Exo does, and what Exo is doing currently is showing respect for the victims of the South Korean Tragedy. How dare you say you do not care about these teenagers and adults on that ship. They had their whole lives ahead of them. They had a life. And that life was obviously wasted due to the recklessness and egotistical captain. What if Exo was on that ship? Or more importantly, what if you were on that ship? Think of the family right now, that may be half way across the world, missing their daughter/son. Missing the laughing and smiling they offered to a place the teens once called a home. I have no right to say that you should stop saying what you want to say and what you think, about wanting Exo to have a comeback, but in all due respect, SM has the right the postpone their activities. And they will continue to do so until everything dies down. So please, Exotics. Don't give this fandom more of a bad name, and try to wait for Exo. I know it is hard to wait for your idols Because, they obviously want you to do the same and respect those who've lost their lives.

[A/N]: Guys, I'm sorry if I started not making sense in the near ending of the post because I just like ugh. I was put into tears by how heartless some of us can be. I'm not forcing anyone to stop stating their opinions, and I am not that big of an Exotic myself. This blog post was not set out to bash Exo nor it's fandom in anyway. I just felt like, some Exotics need a wake up call. Please do not put any hate or "strong criticism" down below in the comment box (which I doubt anyone would do because, who reads my blogs anyways). Thank you everyone, and again, I hope there will be no misunderstandings between Exotics and I. c:

I do understand everything you're saying. But it's not only the Exo fandom. Many other comebacks (it seems like all of them) have been held back as well and those fans are also complaining. But I do agree that some (a lot, I should say) Exotics tend to be... how should I put this... obsessive and irrational as if their whole life is going to end if Exo doesn't make their comeback right away.

Many groups postpose their comebacks out of respect for the ship incident and if these heartless fans don't care then surely they're heartless and shouldn't be cared about. But that doesn't mean what they're saying can be ignored and if they have the nerve to say that they don't care about the people who lost their lives or the people who are about to lose their lives on the ship then I pray that one day the realization of their selfish ways will hit them in a face like a brick.

In conclusion, this generation of teenagers really and I resent the fact that I'm judged for what I am and what I like just because of the actions and words of disrespectful and ignorant fans.

Agree with everything you wrote 100%.
It was so heartbreaking to see just hos malicious people could be to actually fake messages and/or dare to impose insults and negativity because of Exo's delayed comeback.
