I meant to do this post awhile ago..

But I'm such a sentimental sap. I tried to fool myself into thinking that the longer I held this off, the longer my Key would still be a baby. But, alas.. No. This is not so. I noticed that when she took her  hands off the couch and stood all by herself. FREAKING ME THE OUT!

What happened to my BABY? She's not supposed to be trying to WALK. Or feeding herself. Or taking the comb from me to comb her own hair. She's supposed to be little and defenseless and sweet and snuggly and chunky and oh so smooshy..

'Cause it was the first one I had as a Mommy. And it was her first one EVER.

Well.. Now I have a one year old. A "big girl" who doesn't want me to hold her as much, who is becoming more indepenedent and knows what she wants and when she wants it. And.. I named her for the right man, 'cause she is loud, opiniated, grumpy, shy, sweet, blunt and just as diva-ish as he is. I can only hope that she'll be the same type of inspiration and role model to others as he is to me..
