I guess it takes looking back at how long you've known of a group then considering how much your life has changed since then. Although SHINee were not my first kpop fandom (BIGBANG was), I think I can somehow say SHINee in particular really changed my world, even if about 96% of the change is just me having pictures of Koreans throughout my room and all through my phone. . . 

Im sure alot of people could relate to me here, maybe not too. Looking back to last summer before I'd heard of SHINee I remember being really depressed from a loss of someone really important in my life. I guess I can say after finding them something about them gave me a sense of hope.

Through the past year, Ive grown to understand the meaning of them being "the 5 shining lights," simply because they are. 

Being a fan of them, or any fandom, completly changes you in my opinion. You laugh with them, cry with them, decide on your favorite OPTs (cough, OnTae), meet people across the globe, try learning their language and sometimes fail (k, more than sometimes), and even create your own dreams through them. (I am not refering to daydreaming about about them in.. ways.. I mean like they, inspire you what to do with your life. Career, something you love... Thought I should clear that up, if anyone was even thinking it besides me...)

Although I havent been with them since debut, I will always be thankful of how my life changed because of them in the past year. June will mark 1 full year of me being a Shawol, and I plan to continue to support them for many, MANY years to come, just like they do for all of their fans. 

I believe SHINee have the power to make anyone smile, to make drag anyone out of a bad mood and make them laugh. Someone has to agree with me, right? I cant be the only one. ^^

I guess small things make you realize big things, am I right? 

Here's to the 5 shining lights, SHINee. They'll always have the most holy part of my heart. <3
