Where school means nothing but grades

Why should I even give a ?

All these words that act like blades

Are we supposed to take them all and sit like a duck?

 

I want to say no, this shouldn't be how school is

Education is important, but the system is ed

Nothing else is important

Are these meaningless marks our life's quiz?

 

Is this what our life is meant to be?

That all our values are about how we are graded?

That all we have to care about is how people think of ourselves?

that and do what you like so you love what you do

 

In this society where you're judged by race, appearance, skills, and attitude

Do what you love, strive for your dreams

Only one person can hold you down, and that's yourself

Do what you want to do and have no regrets

 

Because at the end of this life what would you do?

Hold onto all that paper you've earned?

Hug that framed diploma in the major you've always hated?

Will you regret all the things you couldn't have done?

 

Just don't ever look down

If you cant choose to go left where nothing's right

Or right where nothing's left

Just go up, where nothing is down

 

If you're afraid of falling, just get up

When you fall seven times

Just get up eight times

You got this, I believe in you

 

Even when no one will,

I'll be there to believe in you

Don't let anyone bring you down

Keep your head up, you're strong

 

Heh, just live your life the way you want to
