Comments

Like any other author, I LOVE receiving comments on my latest fanfic updates. And when I see comments on chapters that I've written MONTHS ago, it makes me even happier that readers are still taking the time to appreciate the effort I'd put into previous chapters.

But you know what makes me cringe? Comments such as "Update soon!" and "Great update author-nim!" 

First of all, why would anyone say "update soon" to me when I just updated? If it had been a week or so since I had updated, then it would be understandable. But a couple mere minutes after I updated? That's just being karma-greedy.  And "great update author-nim!" isn't really a comment that I can appreciate. How about telling me what you liked about the chapter since it was a "great" update? HOW ABOUT SOME ACTUAL COMMENTS AND OPINIONS ON WHAT I WROTE AND THE CHAPTER'S CONTENT? Just saying "Great update," the way I see it, is being karma-greedy too. And I don't see why people get so surprised when I downvote those comments. 

So to those people that actually take the time to comment NOT for the karma, but as an actual sincere comment, thank you. It's nice to see that some people actually read what I put time in to write.
