trainee history: Even as a trainee Haneul was still a quiet person and tried to avoid others but soon found herself drawn to the others as she watched them improve their skills by working with one another. So despite her awkwardess about associating with others, Haneul made herself act ore outgoing and cute, soon having more friend than she imaginied. Though her dancing and rapping were good enough to get her into SM, the improved greatly as she met various talented people.

background: Haneul spent the first 6 years of he life in Cheonan but unlike the other kids, she preferred to stay indoors and draw. Her parents worried about her becoming anti-social and began forcing her to go outside and meet other children. Just as she was beginning to make friends, her father was given a job offer in the states which he immediately accepted, now making the young girl learn English. Over the next 7 years, he continued to accept every offer given to him and the family moved constantly, never staying in one place for too long until Haneul’s mother finally had enough and threatened her husband to move the back to South Kore and she would divorce him. Mr. Han fianly moved them back the following year when Haneul was 13 and she bagan to regularly attend school where she became a bully victim for ‘not sounding very Korean’ to her peers. She began to speak even less and became considered shy or anti-social despite the few people she had by her side.

When she was 14, she became immersed in the Kpop lifestlye contantly shown on television and in magazines, and after begging her parents for a long time, she auditioned for a company, but she was rejected. But she continued to audition over time, practicing her rapping and dancing at anytime. She failed a total of 3 times before she was finally approved by SM and her life as a trainee began.
