God's Gift - 14 Days (Holy sh*t this is SO GOOD!)
Holy crap, I just watched the first two episodes yesterday, and I was completely mindblown. The premise sounded really interesting, but the drama itself is like a gazillion times better. All the actors are amazing, and the show just knows exactly how to build suspense. There are very few dramas that can make me cry (I usually don't cry at all), but I cried more in those two episodes than I've cried for any other drama I've watched so far, and I've watched over sixty by now.
For those of you who are not familiar with it, the story revolves around a mother (Lee Boyoung) whose child gets kidnapped and murdered. She has a lots of regrets and thinks about what she would have done different if she had a chance - and then, she finds a way to go back in time just 14 days before the kidnapping.
Lee Boyoung is an AMAZING actress. Seriously, an AMAZING one. I loved her acting in I Hear Your Voice, but in God's Gift, she seems like a completely different actress. Just yesterday morning, I thought that Jun Ji Hyun (aka. Cheon Song Yi of My Love From the Star) would be taking the Best Actress award this year, but if Lee Boyoung continues to act the way she is, she's gonna give Ji Hyun a run for her money. Just in the first two episodes, she made me completely forget about her previous works and think that she's not an actress, but that she's actually the character she's playing. And I almost never get that feel from anyone.
And I have to give it to the production team for doing an excellent job with the whole thing. The script was wonderfully written, and the production was perfectly executed, I usually hate shaky cameras, but in this drama, the shakiness actually added a lot to the suspense in the scene they were used in. I don't think I can remember any other drama that left me with such a deep impression just from the two initial episodes, not even my all time favorite, Reply 1997. Let's hope that they won't pull a "Future's Choice" on this show.
On a side note, Baro acting like a 6 years old is really cute. I felt really bad for him, but at the same time, I knew that people like his character in real life are treated even worse. Although I have to admit, there were times when he did look a little creepy. But he really reminds me of a puppy xD
