Lies.

WHAT ‘LIES’ BENEATH

Lies will forever be lies. There’s no such thing as nice lies or white lies. Even if there is, it has its own expiry date. The more we cover the truth with lies, it’ll grow and grow…and in the end… it will all rot.

Think of it as a type of food. Let’s say chocolate milk. You hide it deep in the refrigerator so people who are crazy over milk won’t know that you have one. Then you cover it up with a tissue. People will still notice it. So you cover it with a paper. Then a plastic… and so on.

Layer by layer, later on you will forget about it. Until a time comes and the milk will rot. Giving out a stench, and people will surely notice.

You don’t have any other choice but to take it out and throw it away. At that time, people will look at you as you do so, whispering, assuming things. Things you don’t want to know.

That’s how a lie will turn out.

You keep the lie. Cover it with another lie and then another so people won’t know the truth. It doesn’t matter if your lying was to protect someone or something important. If you lie, wait for a lifetime to say the truth, then let it out… everything won’t be the same…

Truth hurts, I know. But being hurt a bit in the first place will be so much better than being hurt a lot at the end of the game.

Right?

“Hurt me with the truth, but never comfort me with a lie”.
