meanings behind my stories

Fix Me

So when I was eleven, I already started this whole "body image" thing where I eventually became an active bulimic. Thus, lacking inspiration for something to write, I wrote 'Fix Me', a story about a quiet Korean transfer student who moves to a new high school in Canada. Quiet, outspoken dancer by day, whiny bulimic cheerleader by night. Initially, this story was meant to portray my emotions that lead to my disorders, but writing this story actually helped me to stop, because I met my own prince charming who told me I was beautiful. However, he doesn't feel the same way I do for him.

Music Camp

I wrote this story in hopes of something that sounded like it could be made into a K-Drama, but it ended up sounding way too much like Shut Up! Flower Boy Band and You're Beautiful. I guess it's meant to portray the life of K-Pop trainees, and how rough and demanding their life can get. Like how they all want to fall in love, but they don't for the sake of the fans. Or how they fear stalker and anti-fans, to the point where they're afraid to even walk home alone.

I Will Show You

This was that one piece of  work which I was genuinely disappointed in. It started off as an attempt to make So-eun be an independent, confident and classy woman, but deep down, she kept showing characters which showed that she was weak on the inside. Truly, she succumbed to the opinions of other people and her friends. She made life a for literally every character in the story and I'm kind of upset I even created her.

I Hate You

After re-reading this, I am positively convinced that Luhan had a mental issue or something. He and Sehun had honestly the most confusing relationship EVER (as pointed out by the readers), but apparently it made the story interesting so...you're..welcome? Anyway, I feel like it was probably the biggest bull of a story, like, ever. My stories are supposed to have morals, meanings, themes, etc. For example; "Fix Me" was about eating disorders. "Music Camp" was about difficulty in the music industry. "I Will Show You" was about a girl trying to get confidence again. "I Hate You", honestly, I have no ing clue what the purpose of this story was about. I think I made Luhan hate Sehun or some , but I put the both of them on such an emotional rollercoaster that I myself, am lost.

Misfits

Basically, I was inspired by my biggest fear for this story: being kicked out of my home and couch surfing. I had no idea was lead me to want a lesbian plotline for this story, it was probably the fact that I was looking at the Girl's Day "Female President" concept photos, I saw Minah and Hyeri doing kissey-faces at each other then BAM! Inspiration. I was inspired a lot by the  cheerleading themes of high school, yet again. It's a pretty dark story, if you ask me.

omg I love little tidbits like this ovo I really, really, really want to write a story that reflects some part of society, but the fics I've published so far is really all about gay . I think the closest I've ever come to that is Portrait, and it's probably the only fic I'm honestly proud of ;v; js I'm glad I'm not the only who beats themselves up for their own stories (is that a good thing?)
