Ri Ae is also quite optimistic and very ambitious, especially when it comes to her interests, such as basketball and dancing. And she takes opportunities as a challenge for her. Patience is not her strong suit, and it takes a lot of convincing to make her change her decision. Ironically, she can be arrogant at hurt other people's feelings as she is very straightforward (She can't control ). If she was rubbed in the wrong way, she can be hot-tempered and quite dramatic, so apologizing her won't be a good use as she prefers to be calmed down by herself. You won't see smiles on her right away, in fact, she might distant away from her friends. Biography:
She was born in Daegu on November 27, 1992. She was the only daughter in her family. She stayed in Daegu until she was 14. She then moved to Ulsan because her father been promoted to a higher position in his work. She continued her studies there at Hyundai Chungun High School alongside her cousin, Chan Yeol. She started to become active in her Instagram, and was later on certified as an Ulzzang for her flawless face.
Chan Yeol was the person who made Ri Ae fell in love with music (He's the one who introduced Linkin Park to her). He's the one who would encourage her to show off her singing talent after when he heard her singing while doing her homework. At first she was shy at first, because she doesn't think she had the talent, but with encouragement from him, she tried to improve herself. So she trained along with him in a music class in their neighbourhood. She imrpoved in her singing and dancing skills, plus an extra practice in her rapping.
Two years later, Ri Ae and Chan Yeol tried to enroll in SM Ent. but only her cousin was casted to SM Ent. She wasn't chosen due to lack of talent. Well, Ri Ae was sad, of course. So, almost half of her day, every day, she tried to improve her talents. Her biggest achievement was when she became the lead actress in her musical, Swan Lake: A Modern Fairytale, which is the time that she knew that she was ready and by the year 2009, she tried her luck to audition at JYP Ent., and was finally accepted as a trainee in JYP Ent. Now, she’s currently studying in DaeKyung University in photography and music alongside Kim Myungsoo.

Training days:
She was acting in her play, 'Swan Lake: A Modern Fairytale'. She was 16. At the time, one of the chairman of JYP Ent. was there to see his niece who's one of the cast onstage. The chairman recognise her amazing talent in singing and dancing skills, plus the talent of acting as well. After the show ended, he quickly meet her backstage and informed her to audition again on the next day. She showed off her flawless dance skills and good vocals. At last, she was accepted.
For the first few months, it was hard for her to adapt with the schedule as a trainee. Sometimes, you will find her in detention because of coming late for training lessons. But that doesn't stop her from giving up. She asked help from the other fellow trainees and her cousins to help her problems. Now, after 4 years of hard work, she is now immune to any detention that happen to her, if there's any. Plus, her skills in dancing and singing had been sharpen, plus the extra lessons of rapping as well.
