—Beyond the appearance 

Personality: She is know for her humble but stubborn personality. She doesn't talk much but talk a lot when it's her kind of topic. Hyemi's friends admire her for her determination. Once she start on something, she can't give up. That's why most of people agree that she stubborn. The thing Hyemi don't like about herself is her honesty. She can't control herself when she lies. It's either she start blinking rapidly or advoid eye contact. And because of her honesty, sometime people get hurt by it. She TOO honest. Like let's say she don't like your shirt, she either say she don't like it or call it ugly. Most people get hurt by her harsh word but Hyemi can't help it. She don't think before she say something. It just come out (her harsh word). She don't care about haters. She think that they have no life and it's not worth it to get sad for it. 

She also know for being realistic. Instead of dreaming about a prince gonna pick you up, that , she find him herself. She got moodswing really easily and well, imagine when she have her period. It's not gonna be good, that's for sure! In school, teacher like her a lot because of her manner and her grade. She got straight A and sometime a B. Hyemi consider average in school. She not popular nor a "nobody". And she happy that she consider average because she don't want to be popular. She don't like attention. She consider girly more than athletic. Hyemi don't like sport. She very lazy so if you told her to run around the field, she rather reading because you don't have to run while reading. She play violin and guitar.

Background:  She was born in an average family. Her mom work as a psycologist and her dad work as a defense attorney. Since her mom work as a psycologist, whenever Hyemi have a depression, she just talk to her mom about it. Aside from singer, Hyemi want to be an attorney just like her dad. She found the law interseting and she always try learn something new from her dad. Even though her parents may be busy, but they try their best to spend time with their only daughter. They have a son once but when he was fifteen, he get into a car accident and never return to the world again. Hyemi's parents think it's part of their fault that they don't watch out for their son so when they have Hyemi, they promise that they spend their time with her as much as possible. When her brother die, Hyemi was four, even though there not that close, she cry a lot at his funeral. Her parents taught her to be self control and responsible. 

One day Hyemi's friend, Minah, told her that she want to audition for SM because she want to be an idol but she don't want to audition alone. Hyemi ask Minah why her and Minah said that Hyemi have a good voice. After about 10 minutes for Minah to convice Hyemi, Hyemi finally said yes. Even though Hyemi audition, she just want Minah to got accepted because she know Minah's passionate about singing. She herself love singing too but she think she still need more experience. After about like two weeks, SM call Hyemi and Minah to announce that they got ACCEPTED~~. Minah was so happy that she cry and Hyemi got really suprise and call Minah right away. Both of them went to karaoke to celebrate this happy event.
