Lu Han's Name(Found some thing interesting?!!?!!?)

Okay so I know the whole debacle with Lu Han's surname is over but here's something interesting I found out about his surname.

Lu is, in fact, a common surname in China--just not HIS Lu. There are 3 Lu's in the top 100 most common surnames in China. The whole misunderstanding was not because Lu, itself, was uncommon--it was only because HIS Lu was uncommon.

When I was browsing through the wiki page for most common Chinese surnames in China I, of course, saw 3 out of four Chinese members of Exo's surnames: Zhang, Wu and Huang--at 3, 9 and 7, respectively. I did not, however, find Lu(鹿), which means deer, so I searched up Lu. I clicked the wiki page and lo and behold no 鹿 just some other Lu's so I thought whaaa?

I ended up typing in the search bar 鹿 surname and I clicked the wiki link that said Xianbei names converted to Han. On the list was 鹿(Lu)--this last name was derived from the Xianbei surname Aluhuan. The Lu from Aluhuan was taken from the name and converted into a Han surname. Of course I didn't who the hell the Xianbei were so I searched them up.

The Xianbei were a Mongolian people--鹿 is therefore a Mongolian surname somewhat.

Maybe this means that Lu Han has some Mongolian ancestry? Who knows? I would definitely say this was a bit interesting.

Wouldn't you? Just a bit?.....No? K.
