Just a minute.
Today I got the news that Loreign author-nim has passed away this morning, 12:15 local hour, after spending some long years fighting against her illness and the cancer she had been suffering of those past months.
I personally wasn't a reader or a friend, but I just wanted to have my words on this.
As someone who has an illness as well, I admire her so much. It makes me feel so warm-hearted after lurking around her story 'Let's get married?!' and seeing all the nice comments she wrote at the end of each chapter, updating her readers on her health.
Unfortunately, cancer is a horrible disease...
There are many authors here, liker her or even me, who are suffering but still work hard to make our readers happy. It may be exhausting, but the happiness expressed by the readers is such a huge reward. Just like me, she had spent her life in and out of the hospital. I understand how it is, horrible, I know.
Let me be sincere with you; the fear of death is something you lose when you're close to it. I'm not afraid of death anymore. And I know she wasn't either. People, death is not something to be scared of... is actually something that we could look at with warmness. Death takes our loved ones to a better place where they don't have to suffer anymore. Don't be sad. Be happy. Don't cry. Smile instead. Because, when they died, they were happy. Relieved that their suffering in this world was finally over.
Dear Lori,
You might never had heard of me, but let me tell you that I'M SO PROUD OF YOU. You fought against the odds and yet, you could make a smile appear in your reader's faces. You put your final strenght and hope into your work. You worked hard, honey. I'm glad you're finally taking a rest in a better place.
Send Judit a kiss from me, okay ? I wish you could meet her and be friends up there with her... I think it would be nice.
You won't be forgotten, remember that. I know that, no matter where you are, you're reading this. I understand you're tired of everything, but you'll finally take a nap in a place far more comfortable than an hospital bed.
May you rest in peace, Loreign.
