K guys, so this is for my story, Up Until Moving Day, so feel free to read it if you want. It's just for clarification for my readers.

WARNING: SPOILERS. READ AT YOUR OWN RISK IF YOU HAVEN'T READ CHAPTER 14 YET (Let's make it 15 to be safe)...

So this morning I received a few comments (that I've deleted already) saying that my "characterization is terrible." Like they hated how I made Lu Han really weak and cowardly, despite all the things he's been through. And they hated how Sehun was totally rude and bratty then somehow changed his whole personality in one chapter. So this post is to clarify things about their characterization.

Let's start with Sehun.

So you all know that he was abused at home when he was only 8. Therefore he grew up thinking that people were cruel since he was still young. He felt like everyone's lives were perfect and that's why he was usually so mean to them. He wanted to show his parents that he would be a successful guardian, so he isolated himself and made sure he was the best. He was very mean to Lu Han because for some reason the guardians favored him more than Sehun and Sehun felt like his "best guardian" position would be taken, meaning, he couldn't show his parents how successful he was without them.

And then he figured how y Lu Han's life was.

He felt like there was finally someone to connect to and that he wasn't alone. Plus Lu Han had always been so nice to him. That's why he "changed so quickly." Idk, I thought it was pretty realistic if you ask me. Knowing that you are no longer alone... oh well.

Then there's Lu Han.

Some said that he should be totally depressed and a lot stronger than he usually is. But I think that would be more reasonable if his loving family was dead, don't you think? Here, only his mom was dead, but then kids and his dad started abusing him. They still currently are.

So that means Lu Han is still in his weak phase. He is still feeling that sense of being inferior to others. That's why he's so weak and cowardly. Because he feels like everyone is out to get him. (or, felt).

As for not being totally depressed (I think I explained this in a previous chapter), it's because this happened to Lu Han after he's experienced happiness, love, and joy. He was old enough to teach himself that life is only depressing if you tell yourself it is.

So yeah, now that that's settled I hope I clarified some things for you guys aka the people who said I at characterization (you know who you are lol). Thanks for reading! Or not... idk. :)
