personality traits: lazy, funny, charismatic, gullible, clumbsy, laidback
personality: on camera (performing/singing) people see hyoju as a fierce charismatic performer. she normally puts 110% in each performance. whatever stage she's performing at she always has a powerful presence. People assume that she's some sassy,badass, rebellious trouble maker, with the way she moves and sings and the clothes she wears but they are way off with their assumption. that's 'jj' her stage and performing personality. When hyoju is on camera in a more relaxed environment like variety shows or talk shows she shows more of the down-to-earth girl. herself.
so, when hyoju is on these shows or off camera she is practically the opposite of her 'sassy' self. Hyoju is lazy and i mean mega lazy. literally she'll call her room-mate on the phone to come to her just so they can pass her the remote which is on the table infront of her. all her life she has lived by the motto 'can't reach it, don't need it'. She is also unfit in physical terms. this has been a trait that has been present throughout most of her life. hyoju has never been a big lover of exercise and back when she was in school she'd always be the last to be picked for a team in physical education. she can barely run up her house stairs without taking a breather halfway up and whenever she tries to run, she ends up making a prat of herself as you could literally walk faster than her "run."
hyoju would probably be one of the most gullible people you've ever met. She will literally believe you whatever you say making her an easy target for jokes on tv shows. her younger brother once told her that a squid was only a thing on spongebob and that they weren't real. She only found out when she turned 22 that they did exist. on shows she'll just do that lil' chuckle when someone says a joke, cause y'know, she doesn't really get it, then 5 minutes after, she'd finally understand the joke (which was most probably aimed at her) and she'd laugh even harder, causing others to laugh. But what makes her a common guests on these variety/talk shows is that she's a very laid back person. She doesn't get upset or angry when people make fun of her. hyoju would juast laugh along, and probably end up agreeing with any insult you thow at her.
hyoju is an easy person to get along with and is a pretty sociable person. if she see's a person being left out of conversations, or left out on shows, she'll try and make sure they're included. she doesn't really or gossip behind people's back and hates back stabbers and snobby people. she's hardly aggressive too anybody unless its for entertainment and when she's doing team games, where she gets a bit too competitve and smacks talk the other team, but then is too chicken to actually physicall go against them so she just runs and hides. people always describe her as 'all talk, no action' which she agrees with.
background: Hyoju was born into a very big family in the middle of seoul. she had a mother (song Eunmi), father (song Junho), 2 older sisters, 2 older brothers and a younger brother. they were all a close knit family until the older siblings started graduating from college and moving away to start their own families, leaving hyoju and her younger brother still at home with the family. her father works in star empire entertainement as a song composer, and her mother works in a big business company as a secutary.
from an early age hyoju was fasincated by beatboxing. the way people can make weird sounds just from their mouths, and it was that which drove her to try and learn it. she started out just trying to do it naturally, but ended up spitting at her brother whilst trying to demonstrate to him. she watched multiple youtube videos to try and learn it, and in the end she started to improve. from beatboxing, hyoju's interests grew to rapping and music. she took music as a major course at her schools, and started to learn many different rap songs from western countries and from korean hiphop groups. having her father working in an entertainment company that specializes in r&b and hip-hop advantaged her as she managed to learn what it took to become an idol. she took lots of advice from her father and started to compose her own songs which she would practice in her room until she thought it was perfect. her father seen potential in his daughter and managed to pull a few strings with his good friend, and boss, star empire's founder, shin ju hak and got a 16 year old hyoju a trainee position within the company (became a trainee in 2004).
hyoju trained for 3 years. within those 3 years her composing skills came in useful as she help wrote songs for Jewelry and V.O.S. hyoju was told she would debut in a co-ed trio khip-hop group with the two other members being different ethnicity and male. Being in a khip-hop group, she didn't need to focus on the whole dancing and immense vocal training as her group was more focused on the rap. The trio were called "hybrid" as each of them had different ethnicities, but when they perfrom, they perform as one group & all equal. their fanclub are called 'crossbreeds' and their fancolour is dark green. Hybrid debuted on january in 2007.

being from a relatively small company at the time, they had to work hard to get themselves known. they didn't have much funding behind them so appearing on variety shows and havng many tours was difficult. how they produced their music was different from other kpop groups. all of them were great composers, so they composed all their own songs to fit their own style. they debut song was called 'triumph' which was composed by all three. they are an extremley under-rated group, having only ever won the best rap/hiphop award on mama in 2009 with their upbeat song ' we got no time'.they have never won a daesang before.
in late 2009 shortly after their win on mama, the group went on a hiatus. they stopped promoting but have never officially disbanded. trigger debuted as a soloist mid 2010, j-king has become one of the top composers within the kpop industry and now is writing songs for well-known groups, and jj after finally appearing on some shows, has become a regular for shows such as star-king, strong heart & happy together. she also started mc-ing late 2010's and presents many music award events, and music bank etc. hybrid as a group have started to hint for a comback for 2014.

personality: yongguk is seen as the intimidating, badass leader of B.A.P. He gives off an aura of dominance, violence and leadership. First initial impressions of him are 'avoid at all costs' 'Do NOT piss this guy off'. He's the sort of guy that looks like a drugs mafia leader. But you could not be more wrong. He's literally a gentle giant. Although you do have to kind of get rid of the latter images of him to find and see that cute gummy smile and awkward adorable aegyo. He may act cold to begin with but thats just his stage prescence and facade. Once you get to know Yongguk, he's very kind, and warm hearted. He's a sweet charming guy who's protective of s and friends. He worries alot, especially because of the stress of the being a leader but also he worries for the health of his dongsaengs, as he is a very selfless person.
when confronted in real life, he's respectful to sunbae's and older people, always giving a 90 degree's bow and comlimenting them. he gets all awkward when his role models speak to him, and ends up stuttering. on shows he is actually qute quiet and shy, but when he's asked questions about bap or music he brightens up and becomes very passionate, loving the fact he can express how he feels about music to other people.
when doing tasks, whether its working on bap songs, or playing games, yongguk becomes very focused at any task at hand. he becomes very competitive and hates losing so he works very hard. because he's athletic and strong, in games, its hard to win against him and he won't go down without a fight.
interaction: onscreen (indivdually / at formal events) they act like sunbae and hoobae. yongguk has always stated that he see's hyoju as a role model with her composing and rap, and hyoju has always stated that yongguk will be on of the most succesful composer/idols in the future. at formal events such as music awards, when they meet, they bow, shake hands, smile say their greetings and move on. however when they're on variety shows, and have to do team work they make a comical pair especially if its a fast paced game. yongguk literally has to do all the work. to begin with hyoju tries to help him but then gives up as she cause more problems then she actually helps. yongguk sometimes becomes frustrated with her slow paced attitude towards things and half playfully shouts out her. which causes her to become more slower. this shows some of their true friendship as yongguk is comfortable shouting at her, and hyoju doesn't retaliate.
off screen they act more comfortable. they tend to work together often as they plan to release a duet in 2014. they've also known each other for a couple of years so their friendship has grown. they spend time together, and have actaully written unrealeased songs together just for fun which may be used in either hybrids album, baps alum or for their duet. they meet up whenever they have free time and just chill. hyoju feels very comfortable around yongguk and vice versa. hyoju is sure that she has made a friend for life in yongguk.
